Just When You Thought You Knew Zara, It Goes and Does This
Sustainable fashion has come a long way. From Emma Watson championing ethical brands to new and exciting labels offering wearable and chic clothes that don't look like hessian sacks, there's no better time to be fashionable and environmentally friendly. It's good, then, when one of your favourite high-street stores gets on board too. Today, Zara launched its new campaign called Shape the Invisible. Not only does the collection use recycled items, but it works with new talent. Keep scrolling to find out more.
The campaign is a collaboration between Zara and some of the biggest design schools in the world. The Royal Academy of Antwerp, Parsons School in New York, EnsAD in Paris and Kingston University in London are all participating in this project. Using recycling as the theme, 60 students were given Zara pieces from previous collections and reworked them to create 60 new incredible items, according to their own design and vision.
While there's no word on whether these pieces will be available to shop, we will, of course, keep you updated the moment you might be able to get your hands on a unique Zara piece (we have visions of That Coat being reworked—how incredible, no?).
