Zara Just Endorsed the Trend Every Cool Girl Is Already Wearing
What comes to mind when you think about the punk trend? Perhaps heavily studded jackets and over-the-top piercings? Well, what if we told you that you can try out the trend while still staying true to your personal style? If you've been too shy to test the waters, Zara has your answer. The retailer has just released a new editorial, Pretty in Punk, which shows off the chicest and most approachable way to adopt the vibe.
Modeled by Laurijn Bijnen, Marjan Jonkman, and Zhenya Migovych, the editorial features floral dresses, band tees, frilled skirts, plaid shirts, acid-wash jeans, and more cool-girl pieces. “Punk for me means going against the grain, doing the unusual and getting out of my comfort zone," Bijnen said in a statement. Added Jonkman, "It’s about being rebellious and thinking out of the box." What does punk mean to you?

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 14 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Kate and Meghan stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible.
