Zara's Just-Dropped Collab Is Giving '90s Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy

Zara isn't as well-known for doing designer collaborations like H&M or Target are, but perhaps that's because the Spanish retailer wants to hold out until something very special comes along. That's exactly the case with the beautiful new Narciso Rodriguez x Zara collection that just dropped.

"The timeline of Rodriguez’s remarkable career spans over 30 and encompasses the great fashion movement of minimalism, of which he is a key architect," Zara explained in a press release. "His best-known design from 1996 was the wedding dress he made for his friend Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, a slip dress so ravishingly simple it changed the bridal business and continues to be an icon of modern glamour. Yet much of Rodriguez's work gets better and better with time. The 25 items of clothing and accessories in the new Narciso Rodriguez x Zara, all drawn from his archive, are proof of that. Good design endures."

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
