This New Zara Skirt Is a Perfect Alt for Fall Runways' Most Dominant Trend
I stalk Zara's new arrivals like most reload their For You pages, meaning multiple times a day, every day. I do this because if I don't immediately find an item that warrants my attention when it drops, it'll likely sell out. That's life in the TikTok era for you. So when I discovered the brand had dropped an under-$120 full skirt similar to those that dominated the fall/winter 2023 runways in February, I wasn't about to hesitate before snagging one for myself—and sharing the news quickly thereafter.
Full, voluminous skirts were spotted at Prada, where gorgeous white satin numbers were paired with neutral knits and suede outerwear and finished with decorative kitten heels. But Prada was far from the only brand to get in on the trend during fashion month. Bottega Veneta, Proenza Schouler, Emilia Wickstead, and more added fuel to the full-skirt fire, switching from leather to plaid wool to denim. Zara's take is a sand-colored, almost low-rise style with large pleats and belt loops for accessorizing. It has a matching bomber jacket you simply must consider purchasing as well. Keep scrolling to shop both pieces and explore the fall runway trend that's blowing up in 2023.
At Zara:
More full skirts from F/W 23 runways:
The only thing chicer than a full skirt is a full skirt that comes in a matching set. For proof, look to this butter-yellow leather ensemble from Bottega Veneta.
Shop:
I see this skirt everywhere, and I'm jealous of the wearer every time.
The real question is: Should I buy the khaki color, the white, or both?
I never thought of pairing a hoodie with an elegant full skirt, but Proenza Schouler has convinced me.
Shop:
Time and time again, Emilia Wickstead designs the prettiest pieces for all occasions, from the office to a gala. This look is no exception, from the gorgeous color to the slightly mismatched print.

When it comes to this season's skirts, the more volume they have, the better. When in doubt, go bigger.
Shop:
Look up "gorgeous" in the dictionary, and I'm pretty sure you'll find this skirt.
