I Tried to Quit Zara, But These 24 Items Are Pulling Me Back
Don’t get me wrong—I love Zara. In fact, I think I like it too much, hence my many attempts to quit the fast-fashion magnet over the years. Why quit, you may wonder? Well, as you may have read in my past stories, my approach to shopping is one (ideally) of investment. This means, for example, splurging on one timeless bag every once in a while, rather than picking up multiple lower-priced, trendy versions here and there. Or buying dresses that feel like they can be worn across multiple seasons and are classic, rather than ones that feel super of-the-moment that I’ll quickly tire of.
Unfortunately, however, this is much more easily said than done. As you can tell from some of my other stories, or just my Instagramming alone, I’m still a sucker for the latest trends, the greatest affordable finds, and of course: Zara. This is especially true at this time of year because if you ask me, summer is when Zara does some of its best work. Think fun bags, cool dresses, statement sandals, easy-to-wear tops, and of course, the cutest beach cover-ups. So to see the Zara pieces that are making me have a fashion relapse this season, simply continue on below. But don’t say I didn’t warn you—they’re really good.
How flattering do these barely there sandals look?Available in sizes 5 to 11.

That’s all for Zara, but shop more summer pieces I’m loving here.
Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
