I Think These David Beckham–Approved Shoes Will be Big News in 2020
Here at Who What Wear, we’re always on the lookout for new brands that prioritise sustainability and the environment. Whether it be through recycled materials or an eco-conscious production line, there’s something particularly enticing about shopping from a company that you know is putting our planet at the forefront.
That’s why we were so interested to discover Yatay recently. The unisex sneaker brand is dedicated to providing uncompromised quality without sacrificing sustainability. To prove this point, each shoe made is PETA-approved and contains elements of recycled rubber, recycled polyester and natural hemp. Having already captured the attention of David Beckham, Benedict Cumberbatch, street style star Anna Dello Russo and model Arizona Muse, we predict these sneakers are set to be big news in 2020.
Given their sleek, minimalist aesthetic, the shoes will tie in seamlessly with many of the options in your existing wardrobe and can be easily paired against trousers, skirts and dresses, as Dello Russo proves below.
Better still, the company has partnered with non-profit organisation OneTreePlanted, vowing that for every pair sold they will plant a tree in a deforested area. If that doesn’t make you want to own a pair, we’re not sure what will.
