Meet Your New Favorite Summer Shoes
When mules hit the scene, we began to imagine how we would work them into every single look we had in rotation. Because, after all, how were we to go a moment without them? It was simply not possible. We’ve shopped the trend in summertime gingham and winter-friendly velvet, fur-lined and open-toed, and with slight heels and skimmer-worthy flats. As much as we love our go-to mules, though, we’ve been on the hunt for a new friend to add to our mighty band of go-to shoes. And we’re happy to report that we finally found our new summer shoe obsession: woven mules.
We’ve never met a better seasonal hybrid. With a closed toe but an open weave, these shoes are perfect for even the hottest of summer days, but they still feel wearable in transitional seasons like spring and fall. Considering the fact that we’ve already begun to amass quite a collection and aren’t going to be ready to banish them to the back of our closet by Labor Day, we’re not complaining about that ultra-wearable timeline. Not to mention that with this sophisticated take on the backless loafer, we feel equal parts Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, even when wearing vintage Levi’s cutoffs. With styles ranging in price from brands like Brother Vellies, Sam Edelman, Clergerie, and more, shop our favorite woven mules just in time for summer.
With all these vintage-looking mules, you surely won’t be able to settle on just one pair. Grab two or three (or more!) to wear with everything from jeans to sundresses all summer long.
