She's worked as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, flight attendant, actor, jewelry designer, and beyond. In other words, she has a ton of experience and an equally cool personal style. Melissa Meyers is a Los Angeles–based influencer with a focus on beauty, style, travel, and wellness. Her blog, The Glow Girl, aims to empower women to embrace the best version of themselves, age gracefully, and cultivate a glow from the inside out. She also happens to be 55 years old and has a penchant for masterfully styling trends. Here, the fashionable duo teams up to discuss the basics they swear by. Working from home is the new norm for us, in particular, for a while. So we wanted to share some of our favorite pieces to be comfortable and chic when working remotely and social distancing.
Since we both conduct business out of our home offices on the regular, we have firsthand experience in crafting WFH looks. We know there may be the temptation to stay in your old pajamas all day long (we get that), however, we think making the transition from the PJs you slept in the night before to something else can inspire you to stay motivated and create a positive structure for the day ahead.
So with that, we're here to showcase our top comfy picks that work for us, but could definitely work for anyone at any age. Bonus, most of these items can also be mixed and matched to create that perfect combo of cozy and chic. (Also note that some of the photos below were taken before we started social distancing but are used here for outfit inspiration.)
1. Elevated Sweatshirts and Flowy Blouses
Let's start at the top. For the ultimate comfort, think sweatshirts, cozy sweaters, T-shirts, and button-ups. For a bit of a chic vibe, try throwing on a flowy blouse and tying it at the front.
