Say Hello to Your Work-From-Home Capsule Wardrobe
For the past few weeks, many of us have been adjusting to a new work-from-home reality amidst the current climate. In these uncertain times, you'd be forgiven for wanting to stay in your pajamas all day, but we're here to let you know that there are plenty of in-between outfits that offer the perfect balance of cozy-yet-chic to inspire you to be at your most productive at home.
Today, I'm sharing some key pieces that will make up a well-rounded work-from-home wardrobe. These items are not only über comfortable but also can be worn together in countless ways, depending on your mood. Included in the mix are plenty of versatile and elevated basics including tees, sweatshirts, and comfy bralettes as well as a few smart but relaxed pieces. These outfits are ideal for days when your calendar is filled with Zoom meetings.
Scroll below for a work-from-home capsule wardrobe that will make you feel comfortable, cozy, and ready to tackle the workday.
Oversize Tee + Sweats + Socks + Sneaks
This kind of cushy outfit is perfect when you're craving cozy comfort but don't want to stay in your PJ's all day. Just add neutral sneakers if you take a walk around the block or enjoy some exercise at home.
Chinos + Sweatshirt + Chain Necklace + Slippers
Relaxed chinos are a great alternative to leggings and sweats if you're already feeling fatigued by them. Pair them with a basic white sweatshirt, fluffy slippers, and a chain necklace for an Insta-worthy WFH look.
Cardigan + Knit Pants + Tank Top + Hoops + Scrunchie
A cozy and chic cardigan is a must in any WFH wardrobe, as it's a refreshingly cute substitute for our sweatshirts and hoodies. Wear with versatile beige knit pants, a neutral tank, gold hoops, and a leather scrunchie for a video conference–ready look.
Oversize Poplin Shirt + Leggings + Earrings + Socks
An oversize button-down is an effortless and easy top to wear with leggings, shorts, and chinos alike. Moreover, it's perfectly put-together for an Insta snap or video call. To elevate your WFH shirt, opt for one with billowy tiers.
Stretchy Dress + Cardigan + Scrunchie + Slippers
A stretchy and versatile jersey dress is a refreshing addition to your work-from-home wardrobe—especially one that's roomy and comfy. Wear it with your fluffy slippers, scrunchie, and throw your cardigan over it for an extra layer of coziness.
Polo Top + Chinos + Sneakers
Wearing something smart on top is the sartorial equivalent of bold lipstick and is the perfect option for a day filled to the brim with Zoom meetings. A polo top, for example, in a pretty pastel hue exudes a relaxed yet polished look and is easy to pair with sweats, leggings, and chinos alike. Keeping sartorial standards high will up your work game and morale.
Tee + Knit Pants + Sweatshirt + Sneakers + Necklace + Scrunchie
While many of our basics will land in the neutral color scheme, a pop of color like a blue T-shirt will unquestionably brighten your mood. Pair it with beige pants and a gold chain necklace to up the cool factor for FaceTime with friends after work.
Up next, presenting a treasure trove of affordable basics that are cool and comfy too.
