I can't begin to explain how much I love the save feature on Instagram. From recipes and workouts to décor and outfits, I've really put that little icon to good use. Lately, I've been visiting my "fashion" folder the most to source inspo for Who What Wear stories and for my own OOTD.
Thanks to the dozens of outfit images I've been saving weekly, I now have so many chic ones to try this winter. Some involve my go-to basics like leggings or denim and others are a bit more trend-focused. (I'm looking at you, tie-dye corduroys.) Per usual, I'm here to share, so I've shopped out all seven of my current fave looks below. Bonus: I recreated them using pieces under $150. Thank me later.
Pay attention to sweater vests because they are a thing. I prefer them styled over a T-shirt (like Dimicco does here) or a button-down for that school-girl vibe that's trending at the moment. This particular 'fit really nails the elevated feel thanks to the head-to-toe black-and-white color scheme.
While Burberry has been designing quilted coats for decades, the trend is all of a sudden bubbling up big time. I'm really into the modern takes on this style and all of the ways women are styling them on the 'gram. This casual outfit feels extremely practical at the moment while remaining much more tailored than even the most elevated of my sweat outfits.
Speaking of athleisure, there is just as much of a way not to do it (old college T-shirts, too-baggy sweats) as there is to do it (matching sets, retro sneakers). This monochromatic look from Raeann Langas is very much one I'd file under athleisure success stories. That trench is just really doing it for me.
Upgrade your favorite plaid blazer, a piece that traditionally leans a bit more classic, with on-trend accessories like chunky boots and a circular bag.
Let this outfit remind you that polished does not have to equal complicated. Start with comfy leggings and simply add lug-sole boots and a tailored blazer. Easy and chic.
My rule of thumb for leather pants is to wear them with anything I'd otherwise style with my favorite denim. Take this look for example. The shacket and T-shirt feel a bit more elevated with these cropped leather pants than they might with straight-leg jeans, no?
