30 Trendy Basics to Pack for Every Winter Trip This Year
I'll admit that I'm selfishly writing this story, as I have three trips coming up over the next 30 days and am slightly panicked about what to pack. As you probably know, winter trips are notoriously difficult to pack for. I'm constantly looking for ways to make the process easier while ensuring I'm prepared for my cold-weather trip, and the best way to do so is to stock up on basics.
I'm someone who likes to have a bit of fun with my outfits when I travel, so I prefer to pack basics that veer toward trendy, even in the winter when the priority is warmth. But it's possible to have both warmth and style if you shop correctly, which is what I'm here to prove. Below, I've rounded up all the trendy basics I'm eyeing for my upcoming travels. They're warm, versatile, packable, and chic, which is everything one could ask for in a winter basic.
I can't stand staying at a hotel without slippers. This fluffy, squishable pair would be a treat to have on hand.
I have a tendency to wear jeans all the time when it's cold. These perfect pants break me out of my rut.
This cool oversize sweater could be worn more than once on your trip without anyone noticing.
Gotta love a pair of sweatpants that you can actually wear out at night.
This very useful basic takes up zero space in your suitcase. I suggest getting it in cream, too.

I'd layer this over a turtleneck for a warm and trendy look.
I don't typically pack non-workout leggings for trips, but these are an exception.
This expensive-looking sweater is such a good find, if I do say so myself.
This fancy shirt will lead to so many great, effortless outfits.
I pack these lightweight boots for every winter trip I take. They're great for day or night.
A miniskirt and chunky boots are always a winning combo.
