Here's Exactly What to Wear to an Outdoor Concert This Summer

The impending start of summer signifies a lot of things. Rosé-all-day Instagram photos flooding your feed, weekend barbecues, trips to the beach, and of course, concerts—outdoor ones to be exact. And while we thought we’d extensively covered what to wear to every type of concert (from country to rock to pop and more) in the past, we somehow failed to hit on what to wear if it’s taking place outdoors.

Luckily, there are just a few key things to keep in mind. Since you will be, well, outdoors, that can mean anything from fluctuating weather to sometimes sitting on grass, so we suggest opting for a breezy jumpsuit (either with long sleeves or full-length) or cute summery pants paired with an easy top or tee. Once you’ve got that down, simply add a light jacket, some concert-ready accessories—think comfortable shoes and crossbody bags—and you’re ready to go. See one prime example of a look we love below, and then continue to shop everything you need to nail outdoor concert style for yourself—all under $50 thanks to our very own Who What Wear collection.

Editor-at-Large

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
