Hailey Bieber's Go-To Moisturiser Now Comes in a Night Cream (and It's £15)
When beauty editors talk about some of the most iconic beauty products of all time, it's quite often that Weleda Skin Food comes up among the list of cult products. If you're not already acquainted with Weleda Skin Food (£15), you should know that it's the one affordable moisturiser that is universally adored, whether it be by celebrities—Victoria Beckham, Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski all love it— and by industry makeup artists who swear by it for skin prep for the red carpet (PSA: It makes your complexion look incredible). In fact, a Skin Food product is sold every four seconds around the world.
Weleda Skin Food moisturiser is often spotted backstage and on set, as seen here backstage at London Fashion Week.
As a regular backstage at fashion week, it's the one affordable moisturiser I see time and time again on makeup artists' workstations among the more premium products used, and I can guarantee you'll spot it in any top nail technician's kit bag on set for hydrating hands prior to a photoshoot. In a nutshell, everyone loves this product. And its affordable price tag makes it all the more covetable.
So, when Weleda announced that it was adding even more products to the Skin Food range (there is already a lighter version of the OG moisturiser, as well as body moisturisers and a lip balm), you can best believe that the beauty industry did a collective gasp and air-punch. Among the new launches are the Skin Food Day Cream, Nourishing Cleansing Balm and Ultra-Light Dry Oil. But, if you ask me, the standout is the Skin Food Night Cream—more on that ahead.
Weleda Skin Food Night Cream Review
First things first, this night cream is incredibly nourishing. When you open the pot, the cream inside feels quite dense to the touch, but upon contact with the heat from your fingertips, it melts like butter.
The ingredient list boasts several of the same skin-softening and nourishing ingredients found in the OG Skin Food formula, but the night cream feels even more nourishing. It includes shea butter, organic sacha inchi oil, sunflower-seed oil, cica and skin-healing calendula, which work in tandem to repair the skin, reinforce the skin barrier and offer a hefty hit of hydration to parched complexions.
What I will say is that this night cream is one for those who have dry to very dry skin. If you're oily or breakout-prone, you may find the oils in this night cream too heavy for your skin and potentially clog your pores. My skin is combination, so I found it worked better on the drier areas of my skin. In fact, the night of testing this night cream I had a minor eczema flare-up on my upper lip, which was very dry and causing any makeup I applied over it to cling to the dry patches. But after applying this to the area, it was calm come morning and all visible dryness was gone. The rest of my skin also felt so supple and plump, so I'll be keeping this on standby for days when skin irritation or dryness arises, or when I want a more intensive night moisturiser.

The original Skin Food moisturiser is loved by makeup artists and celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Hailey Bieber. You can use this on both the face and body.
Weleda cleverly brought out a lighter version of the cult classic, which is perfect if your skin is on the oilier side.
The new day cream is silky soft, leaving skin lightly moisturised with a veil of hydration that is in no way sticky.
Along with the original moisturiser and the night cream, this is another of my new favourites. It effortlessly melts away makeup and rivals some of the more expensive balm cleansers that I have tried.
Another new product in the range is the Ultra-Light Dry Oil, which does exactly what it says on the bottle. It offers all the nourishment from an oil without any of the stickiness, meaning you can get dressed and go. It also leaves limbs with a beautiful sheen.
For when you need to call in the big body-moisturising guns, I'd recommend reaching for this body butter which is indulgently nourishing for dry skin.
But if you do want something a little lighter without compromising on the nourishment, then the body lotion is a great lightweight option.
