I Want to Look Cute and Stay Cosy This Christmas—4 Looks That Nail the Brief
Christmas is mere days way, and as it stands, it looks like we're in for a chilly one. If, like me, you simply cannot stand being cold, then the thought of spending a winter's day in anything other than a fluffy coat or layers of thermals feels entirely hateful. But at the same time, I do believe that the festive period is the perfect time to bring a little variety into your looks. So, below, I've chronicled four easy—and most importantly, warm—outfits to see you through the Christmas period in style. Whether you're spending the day comfortably casual day at home, getting glammed up for a fancy dinner with loved ones, or will be braving the elements on a Christmas Day walk, read on to discover four stylish and cosy Christmas outfits.
4 WARM CHRISTMAS OUTFIT IDEAS
1. CHRISTMAS DAY WALK
Style Notes: Stay warm in style in the season's favourite fuzzy coat. Don't forget your gloves, and throw on a cosy hat for good measure.
Shop the Look:
This classic coat is a favourite in the Who What Wear UK office.
Everyone needs a reliable pair of straight-leg jeans.
2. SMART/CASUAL
Style Notes: If you're in the mood to dress up a little, an oversized turtleneck and wool midi skirt in tonal hues is the ideal outfit—snuggly yet still put-together. If you want to bundle up a little more, add some thick tights and wear a thermal layer underneath.
Shop the Look:
A bright white jumper looks so elegant in winter.
Style with kitten heels or knee-high boots.
The festive season calls for shimmer.
3. COSY DAY IN
Style Notes: If your Christmas Day will be spent firmly indoors having a simple, cosy get-together, then there's no shame in dressing for it. Forget about sparkles and heels; a pair of cashmere joggers and a wool cardigan are all you need to make the most out of your laid-back day.
Shop the Look:
This is my all-time favourite white tee.
So cosy and comfortable.
4. FESTIVE POP OF RED
Style Notes: Red is arguably the biggest colour trend of the year, but it really comes into its own during the festive season. Style a chic red knit with a black maxi skirt and pull on some knee-high boots for extra insulation.
Shop the Look:
Style with your favourite jeans or dress up with a sparkly mini.
