I Asked Our Editors to Create 2024 Vision Boards and Wow, They’re Chic
There's no better time to take a step back and re-assess your direction than the advent of a new year. Brimming with new-season energy, our editors are aiming high for 2024. With trips abroad, sparkling jewels and luxurious purchases all on the vision boards, it looks like 2024 is destined to top the charts all round. To make these wishes a reality, visualisation is key, so I challenged five of our editors to sit down and create the vision boards of their dreams. Known for their exceptional taste and eye for trends (be they fashion or otherwise) I was also keen to see what was piquing their interest for 2024. And, as expected, the outcome was seriously chic.
Read on to discover everything that made it on to our editors' 2024 vision boards, and to shop the pieces they have their sights set on for the year ahead.
WHAT'S ON OUR EDITORS' VISION BOARDS FOR 2024?
MAXINE EGGENBERGER, DEPUTY EDITOR
"My 2024 goal is to be more intentional with everything that I do. I've already booked all of my holidays—Croatia in June and New York in November, in case you were wondering—and although it might sound shallow, I really want to reassess my style, too, investing in sharper staples I know I'll carry with me for years. The Row's Margaux bag is a total aspiration, but isn't that what vision boards are for?
"I want to value time with friends and make the most of my weekday evenings—getting dressed up and heading out to my favourite cocktail bar for one drink on a Wednesday evening will not only shake up my routine, but it'll also help me rediscover some low-key spontaneity amongst my bigger planning moments. If i can be wearing this Daphine necklace when doing so, then all the better."
Shop Maxine's Edit:
I love Almada for its ultra-soft cashmere cardigans, but this season I'm taking the plunge and indulging in one of the cosy mohair coats.
Forever on my wish list, this designer buy is as luxurious as it gets.
This season, I'm swapping my layering necklaces for a single elegant tennis style.
With notes of vanilla, caramel and frangipane, this will be my fragrance of the summer.
POPPY NASH, MANAGING EDITOR
"This year, I really want to hone in on my capsule wardrobe classics, and who better to take inspiration from for this than the French? Simple shirting, relaxed blazers, great denim and, of course, Bretons, are all set to be in my 2024 arsenal, complemented by chic but standout accessories that will last a lifetime."
Shop Poppy's Edit:
This three-piece set does all the hard work of styling your jewels for you.
In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a classic striped top.
HANNAH ALMASSI, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
"I'm in the mood for all-out '80s and '70s-tinged glam for the season ahead, channeling my inner Italian nonna and levelling up my wardrobe with more mature, elegant pieces."
Shop Hannah's Edit:
I've been on the hunt for snakeskin boots for several seasons, and this knee-high style from Khaite keeps coming out on top.
REMY FARRELL, FASHION EDITOR
"Can you tell that I'm counting down to summer already? I might not be much closer to tasting my first pina colada of the year, but a brighter, bolder spring/summer palette has put any thoughts of winter hibernation far behind me. Now, I'm all about sweeping maxi dresses, fun sandals, pops of colour and prints. Just because I'm not reclining on a beach, doesn't mean I can't dress as though preparing for the vacation of a lifetime."
Shop Remy's Edit:
The thick weave detail imparts the summery vibe that I'm chasing this year.
In my opinion, there's no better fragrance combination than floral and musk.
Add a flush of colour to your partywear rotation.
ANNIE WHEATLAND-CLINCH, ASSISTANT SOCIAL MEDIA EDITOR
"In 2024 I want to embrace the simplicity of throwing an outfit together and just going with it, and as the seasons change it’s fun to play around with colours and textures. Plus, nothing brightens up a grey winter sky like some cheetah print or a sequin bag.”
The silver accessories trend isn't showing any signs of slowing down.
I'm backing the faux-fur trend this season.
