Victoria Beckham Just Brought Back These Controversial '00s Shoes
After nearly a decade out of sight, we thought we were standing assuredly over the grave of this noughties shoe trend. That is to say, we thought they died alongside the decade, but clearly, Victoria Beckham thinks otherwise. The designer stepped out in NYC last week in her signature uniform of sleek tailoring—save for one item. She swapped her usual single-sole pumps for a pair with a much more daunting platform sole.
You may recall that platform pumps were a big hit in the early 2000s, back when you could easily find stars like Paris Hilton teetering around in them. Since then, the trend has all but disappeared on the celebrity front and admittedly we've even recommended that you ditch them to upgrade your style. But if anyone can dust off the controversial heels in a totally chic way, it's Victoria Beckham. In fact, Beckham styled the sky-high heels so flawlessly, we did a double-take before realizing what they were. She wore a thin striped knit, which she tucked into a pair of wide-leg pants that flowed effortlessly over the heels.
Keep reading to see how Victoria Beckham made the throwback heels look polished and to shop her combo of a thin sweater and wide-leg pants.
