Victoria Beckham Just Made These Hated Trousers Look Amazing

A poll once revealed that 46% of British people hate red trousers, and someone even created a website to share pictures of Kensington residents and Oxbridge undergrads in scarlet pants and gilets. Red trousers were so ridiculed that The Telegraph once wrote, "Red trousers have become so 'stigmatised,' experts say, that their association with hooray Henry-types has left owners too shy to wear them."

In 2016, Country Life campaigned to stop the red-trouser bashing, exclaiming "Our terra-cotta warriors must raise the scarlet standard high." This week, in New York, Victoria Beckham showed that these "hated" red trousers can look high fashion by wearing a pair of suit trousers from her own collection with a colourful striped knit and a matching red bag.

VB stuck to her signature trouser silhouette, opting for high-waisted, wide-leg trousers that cover her shoes. However, if you're more into a cropped silhouette, we have found the perfect pair at Topshop.
