The biggest trend of the last 12 months has undoubtedly been checks, as you can't get on a train or go for a coffee without seeing at least one Prince of Wales blazer. Victoria Beckham showed that the way to take this forward in 2018 is to play with colour, instead of sticking to greys, as last week she wore a lilac and burgundy checked shirt tucked into a matching midi skirt. As for accessories, she wore her favourite red wine–coloured leather heel boots. Although some on the internet likened this look to a laundry bag or tablecloth, we're into it. Her look is from her pre-fall collection, however, Zara is already all over the colourful check trend, as we found a similar purple blouse there for £30.
