Wait! Don't Buy Another Pair of Vans Without Seeing This New Collab

When your beloved sneakers get too dirty and worn out, it’s tempting to swap them in for a fresh pair in the same style—if it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right? Well, instead of reaching for your old reliables, we think you should mix it up and treat yourself to a cool new upgrade. If you happen to be a Vans fan, you should consider trading in your basic Authentic sneakers for the brand’s new collaboration with Japanese label WTAPS.

Although Vans has teamed up with WTAPS on a slew of other collaborations, we’re quite partial to the latest collection. As part of the collab, Vans created anaconda-inspired embossed leather sneakers in three different colors: white, black, and blue. Dying to get your hands on them? Mark your calendars: They’ll be released on Saturday, August 27. Can’t wait!

Scroll down to preview the Vans x WTAPS collaboration launching on August 27!

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
