The Art of Gifting Yourself This Valentine's Day

Waiting around for significant others to sharpen up their psychic abilities and buy something for us that’s exactly en pointe and on time for V-Day? How very archaic! Instead, we’re honing the art of self-gifting. We started practicing before Christmastime, but a few months in, we’re doing pretty well at it. There’s been the must-have Vêtements dress, a vintage designer handbag now that we’ve swotted up on shopping for pre-loved authentic wares and, of course, a barrage of new shoe trends to try (Snake-print boots! The babouche! Kitten heels!).

So let’s use Valentine’s Day wisely for our wardrobes. There’s a veritable banquet of new S/S 16 pieces floating into stores right now, so we’ve scoured the lot to bring you the 14 items that feel shiny and new but will last the distance too. Classics, sure, but they’re compatible with the newest trends.
