The New-Season Jumper Fashion People Are Choosing Over Crewnecks

Jumper weather is well and truly here, and though our neat crewneck knits and oversized turtlenecks are doing a great job of keeping us warm, I'm hoping to update my collection with some new styles that feel extra current and a little more special as we head towards the end of the year.

With a plunging neckline (of varying degrees), a V-neck jumper can add an elevated feel to a jumper outfit in ways no crewneck ever could. Naturally more dressy than its high-neck counterparts, V-neck knits, whether oversized or slim-fit, are my knitwear silhouette of choice for relaxed styling during party season.

Proving my point perfectly, influencer Abisola Omole recently wore a V-neck jumper in red mohair with a shimmering sequin skirt in a slightly darker shade of red, creating a chic festive ensemble that steered clear of clichés. If you're less interested in showing extra skin but like the vibe of a V-neck jumper, consider wearing your knit over a silk shirt for a refined look with extra coverage. Alternatively, shop an oversized, sporty knit and pair it with retro

trainers or sleek kitten heels for an ultra-cool weekend look you'll want to throw on every morning.
