The Lingerie-Inspired Bikini Trend We're Already Seeing Everywhere
Whether or not we can feel it, summer is just around the bend. So in an effort to keep you and your closet fully prepped on the latest swimwear trends, we've been sharing everything from which swim trends are out for 2019 to Amazon's secret affordable swimwear section, and today, we're highlighting one trend, in particular, that you're about to see on everyone from celebs to fashion girls to your most stylish friend once summer rolls around: the underwire bikini trend.
Inspired by the shape of your most classic bras, this summer's stylish bikinis incorporate underwire and seaming into the design itself. There's something undeniably retro about the lingerie-inspired shape, especially when paired with high-waisted bottoms. We could easily see Sophia Loren or Jane Birkin wearing any of the current styles on offer. As far as where to find them, celeb-favorite Australian brands like Fella and Bamba have been leading the trend with their array of minimalist designs and fresh colors and prints to choose from.
Now that swimsuit weather and vacation season are inching closer, we're spotting versions of the underwire bikinis from brands all over the internet, from mainstays like Swimsuits for All and Aerie to indie labels like Peony and Anemone, proving that it's about to dominate beaches and pools all over the world.
