The Official Winter Zara Capsule Wardrobe: 8 Outfits You Can Wear All Season
Want a new chic winter wardrobe but don't have a big budget? Hi, meet Zara. There are tons of retailers worthy of a capsule wardrobe story, but for today, we're starting with one we know you all love. Since a well-rounded winter wardrobe is all about layering, you're going to need quite a few things, but each of those things should be purchased with a deeper intention. In other words, can you wear said item multiple ways and multiple times without getting sick of it? If the answer is yes, then that is an item worth buying.
Instead of categorising each piece individually, we thought it would be more exciting to show you just how chic your winter wardrobe could be when you put all those seasonal essentials together. Featured in seven perfect outfits, we have highlighted the ultimate winter capsule wardrobe à la Zara. From outerwear to footwear, purchasing any (or all) of the items ahead will ensure you always have something to wear when you open your wardrobe in the morning.
Outfit #1: She Likes Leather
A camel coat is a must-have in a well-rounded winter wardrobe. Wear it over this look here or literally any of the five other outfits ahead.
Leather is certainly trending this season, so we recommend you stock up to not only be right on the money style-wise but to also add a fresh textured piece to your winter layering lineup.
Wear that shirt with a faux-leather midi skirt and then wear this skirt with all of the knitwear you have.
Outfit #2: She Loves Colour, But Only If It's Beige-Ish
This dress also comes in black, but we love this neutral hue when styled as a head-to-toe monochrome look. Put a sweater over this, a turtleneck under it or wear it alone if you're lucky enough to live somewhere where it's warm in the winter.
Hot tip: Buy this sweater and wear it around your shoulders atop that tan dress and then continue to style it however you please all season long.
Knee-high boots are the fashion-girl trick for staying warm while wearing midi skirts and dresses when it's freezing outside.
Outfit #3: She's a Party Girl
Mark my words, this is going to be the most popular Zara top this holiday season. Switch things up a bit this year and wear a party top and matching pants instead of the very expected sequinned dress.
The versatility of these speaks for itself. From your holiday party to the office these are a no-brainer.
If you don't own party-worthy shoes that you're obsessed with, you won't be as excited to dress up as you could be. So buy these and call it a day because I can guarantee your calendar is already filling up with festivities.
Outfit #5: She's Not a Regular Boss, She's a Cool Boss
If you've been looking for the perfect boxy blazer, we've found it for you. This slightly cropped version reads professional yet cool, just like you.
While Zara might not be your go-to for jewellery, this season proved that for all things gold and chain-link (aka the biggest jewellery trend right now), this retailer has got you covered.
Why opt for a regular trouser when you could wear pleated ones? Pair these with that tailored blazer and the following boots or wear it with your chunkiest of sweaters for a chic texture contrast.
These are the square-toe boots to end all square-toe boots. Everything from the heel to the toe will instantly make all of your winter looks that much more forward.
Outfit #6: She's Kind of Goth, Kind of School Girl
Having at least one chunky knit that you could basically live in is of the utmost importance during the winter season. Trust me and buy it ASAP.
A skort might seem like a bit of an odd thing to invest in during the winter, but when styled with that chunky sweater and weather-appropriate lug-sole boots, it really starts making a lot of sense.
These look scary at first sight but wear them in the snow once and you'll understand the hype.
Outfit #7: She loves a Canadian Tuxedo
If you're a denim lover, this fleece-lined denim jacket is the winter upgrade to the regular jean jacket you wear on repeat.
A thin-knit will save you this season, and if you ask us, ribbed ones look more expensive than all the rest. Throw this under a dress, a blazer, or the jacket above and you'll be staying warm without the unnecessary bulk.
I'm giving you permission to buy yet another pair of jeans. I won't tell if you won't.
In case you don't own enough boots already, these are one of those Zara items I feel like you'll be really sad you passed up. So don't.
Outfit #8: She Knows How to Style a Puffer
In case you missed it, tonal puffers are the puffer jacket trend to be seen in this season, so snatch this one up and wear it atop all of your beloved winter clothing.
This knit set is already selling out fast, and it's clear why. There's nothing chicer than a coordinating knit set around this time of the year.
These trousers included!
Next up, the biggest new-in pieces you need to see this week.
