5 Easy Outfit Ideas I'll Be Wearing on Rotation This Month and Beyond

It's officially summer. June has arrived, and now is the time to transition ourselves from a semi-sunny wardrobe to a full-blown heatwave (wishful thinking?) one. With the inclement weather we've been having lately starting to subside, we can finally consider leaving our jackets and umbrellas at home. The forecast is sunny times ahead.

All those warm-weather Instagram shots that had you craving days of endless sunshine are now a reality, but as with any season, the simplest way to do everyday chic is to have a trusty roster of staples that can be mixed and matched accordingly. The only decision is what your summer signature will be this year.

From the basic top every wardrobe should have to the new-season skirt that's taking over my social media feeds, I've assembled five outfits that perfectly fit the "What to wear in June" bill, each of which will still feel stylish next June and the June after that. See them below, and should you need any pieces to re-create these foolproof looks, I've shopped out lookalikes for you along the way. Enjoy.

1. Waistcoat + White Cotton Skirt + Strappy Sandals

Style Notes: One of my favourite things about this time of year is being able to leave the house sans coat or jacket. Go sleeveless with a trending waistcoat, dressing it down with a cotton midi skirt and flat leather sandals.

2. Striped Button-Down + Capri Pants + Mules

Style Notes: Okay, I know I said these looks were anti-trend, and I stand by that. I feel like this formula will still feel pretty classic in a few years' time, but there's no denying that ultra-cropped, capri-style trousers are having a moment. Wear with mules for a sophisticated take.

Style Notes: It's finally T-shirt weather. Hallelujah! My favourite way to wear this staple is simple—just add blue jeans and black sandals to create an easy-going summer look.

4. Midi Dress + Tonal Knit

Style Notes: Is there any summer piece that's more reliable than a lightweight midi dress? If you ask me, this is the easiest thing you can wear in June, but it might be worth carrying a matching jumper around in case the temperature drops.

5. Tank Top + Denim Shorts + Fisherman Sandals

Style Notes: Here, Francesca Saffari has assembled a fail-safe summer outfit with three items we pull out every year: a basic tank, denim shorts and chunky fisherman sandals. If it ain't broke…
