I'm a Beauty Editor—These Are My Favourite Products From Victoria Beckham Beauty
On Sunday September 15th 2019, Victoria Beckham launched her eponymous beauty brand, sending the models for her Spring/Summer ’20 collection up the catwalk in bold eye makeup created looks using her very own eyeshadows and eyeliners. Fashion obsessives, beauty fanatics, and—let’s be honest— Spice Girls fans rejoiced.
Fast-forward four years and the brand is still turning heads with every new launch. Originally a capsule collection of eye makeup products, the line-up now includes lipsticks, glosses, and tints, bronzing palettes, cream blushers, mascara, and even a serum and moisturiser—created in collaboration with legendary biomedical scientist Augustinus Bader. With its glossy packaging and chic colour stories, Victoria Beckham Beauty perfectly marries together the cool-girl luxe of Beckham’s fashion brand with the iconic, sultry makeup looks she’s worn throughout the decades.
Of course, these days, celebrity beauty brands are ten-a-penny—and not without their critics. But it’s no secret that the brands that succeed are those which not only stay true to the founder’s beauty ethos but also have their own. "The future of beauty are products that perform at the highest luxury level, welcome everyone who loves beauty, are sustainable, and are cruelty-free” says Beckham. "This is the vision behind Victoria Beckham Beauty.”
Inspired by both her beauty staples and by the products she felt were missing from her makeup bag, Beckham built her brand on the basis of ‘clean luxury’. While the entirety of the range is cruelty-free, sustainably-minded, and clean-formulated, there’s no greenwashing. The price point is what Beckham refers to as ‘accessible luxury, and the quality of both the products and their packaging rivals that of longstanding luxury brands like Dior and Chanel.
Ever since the launch, Victoria Beckham Beauty has featured in my daily makeup routine and I think it’s safe to say that I’ve tried every single item that’s currently available. From the iconic Posh Lipstick through to the always-sold-out Satin Kajal Liners, here’s everything you need to know about Victoria Beckham Beauty.
Shop Victoria Beckham Beauty:
Who can resist a highly pigmented black eyeliner? With its rich and creamy texture, this is perfect for crafting bold and smoky eye makeup looks.
Cream blushers are far superior to their powder counterparts (in my opinion), and this is no exception. Expect a natural flush of colour and a fresh, dewy finish.
A full spectrum of neutral tones—this is the ideal palette for day-to-day usage.
Without a doubt the brand's most coveted product—as well as classic shades like brown and black, the Satin Kajal Liner comes in a full array of jewel-toned metallics.
This bright, sparkling eyeshadow is the perfect party piece. Use it to brighten the inner corner of your eye in a full glam makeup look, or apply a wash of pigment over your lid for easy eye makeup on the go.
If your main beauty goal is to recreate the classic smoky eye looks that Beckham is most well known for, look no further. This cool-toned neutrals palette has everything you need.
Ask any makeup artist and they'll tell you that a white liner in the waterline is the best way to create the appearance of wider, brighter eyes. It's fair to say that Beckham has spent a lot of time around pro MUAs, so it's easy to see why this makeup bag staple is part of her collection.
Now, if there's one beauty product I won't leave the without, it's mascara. This one ticks all of the boxes for me—volume, length, and lift.
£35 may seem pricey for a lip tint, but trust me when I say that this product will last you forever. A little goes a long way in delivering a lasting stain of pigment.
Less chunky glitter highlighter and more natural dewy glow, this cream highlighter stick is free from shimmer and instead uses pearlescent pigments to reflect light for a lit-from-within radiance.
I love using this terracotta nude shade to sculpt and contour. Oh, and it also makes a great eyeshadow in a pinch, too.
Leave it to Posh Spice to give the ultimate '90s beauty accessory a major upgrade. Posh Gloss is available in nine shades, but the clear version is my favourite. It looks great on its own or layered over a lip stain or lipstick.
Available in 15 shades, Posh Lipstick delivers impressively rich colour, a buttery shine, and feels ultra moisturising. I'm particularly obsessed with this eyecatching orange-y red
For effortless bronzing that subtly warms your complexion (and is pretty much impossible to overdo) this sheer pressed powder truly delivers.
Nude lipstick and Victoria Beckham go hand-in-hand, so it's no surprise that of the 15 shades in the range, five of them are true nudes. Girl is my go-to handbag essential.
Inspired by another '90s makeup essential, meet Beckham's take on lip liner. I've tried many lip pencils in my time, but with its smooth texture and waterproof formula, this is one of my favourites.
Part-moisturiser, part-primer, and part-glow booster, this multitasking cream brightens skin with an instant sunkissed radiance. This makes my skin look so good, I often skip out on foundation altogether.
The same formula as the above but minus the golden pigment. This weightless, daily moisturiser perfectly preps skin for makeup application.
Powered by vitamins and amino acids, this powerful serum aids skin's natural process of repair and renewal. It protects and perfects skin, targeting fine lines, wrinkles, redness, and dull skin.
