The Most Important Handbag Trends of Spring 2021
Sifting through all the glorious newness that the spring and summer runways brought us not too long ago felt like such a breath of fresh air (especially compared to the stuffiness of the same boring sweat outfit I have been wearing on repeat since, oh, I don't know, March last year?). So far, we've reported on the biggest spring trends overall, the biggest accessories trends, and the biggest shoe trends, and today, we're here to hone in a bit tighter and share with you the most important handbag trends of 2021.
At this point, who really knows how often we will be relying on our handbags as much as we used to? But if I know you all like I think I do, it's safe to assume that no matter what the new norm ends up being, buying cute accessories will always sound like a good idea. With that said, ahead you will discover the five spring handbag trends we're guessing we will be seeing everywhere this spring. Featuring designers from Fendi to Hermès, I can guarantee one of the new styles below will get you more than excited for the season ahead.
This new two-dimensional handbag shape is one we are very excited about. Resembling that of a thin paper filing folder, these flat handbags might not be the most practical in terms of storage, but they sure do make for a sleek piece of arm candy.

Market totes typically make some sort of appearance come spring, and this season is no exception. Including a variety of netted carryalls made of everything from leather to rope, this handbag trend is certainly one to watch.

We saw handbags of all shapes and sizes come down the runway in some of the brightest and boldest hues we've seen in a while. These candy-coloured bags are what you can count on to breathe new life into your wardrobe come spring.

Thanks to this new handbag trend, you officially never have a reason to use a plastic water bottle ever again. Designers displayed the most forward water bottle holders as bag attachments, their own individual bags, or built into belts. If you're currently looking for the perfect gift for the fashion girl in your life, look no further.
