I Thought I Was Done With Skinny Jeans, But These Outfits Changed My Mind
I honestly can’t remember the last time I wore skinny jeans. Perhaps two—maybe even three—years have gone by since a pair was even in my rotation. It's not surprising, you need only look at the current spring/summer 2021 fashion trends to see that loose jeans are now on the rise. And a quick glance in my wardrobes shows that rigid, non-stretch, looser styles dominate. In fact, I didn’t think I'd be needing to make room for skinnies in my wardrobe anytime soon, but, of course, things change. Whether it’s pairing them with of-the-moment knee-high boots or an oversized blazer (or both), these looks below actually have me wanting to check my storage for a pair. To see all eight of the outfits I'm loving for yourself and shop them along the way, just keep scrolling.
This combo of a blazer, skinnies and combat boots is business-casual at its finest.

Denim on denim looks exponentially cooler with the addition of a long coat and statement boots.

A "borrowed from the boys" jacket looks shockingly chic when paired with jeans and knee-high boots.

There are so many trends going on here (the baseball cap, the beige overcoat, the leather blazer), but everything goes together perfectly.

I already own this top, so you can bet this will be my uniform once spring starts creeping in.

Who knew all you needed to do was belt a puffer to suddenly transform it into a "fashion" coat?
Shop the look:
I'm currently in the process of collecting oversized blazers, so you can bet I'll be adding this to my outfit rotation.

We probably all own these basics but don't always think to put them together like this. I'm definitely copying this outfit this weekend.

Next up, the biggest spring/summer 2021 fashion trends to know.

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
