I personally would invest in a great handbag. It’s something that you use every day and, in a neutral colour, will last you for many years.

You need a beautiful pair of flats and a classic pair of heels. Select pairs that give a bit of personality to any outfit, but at the same time can be paired with almost anything. I also like to make sure I have a great pair of flats that I can wear on the days I know I’ll be on my feet all day, but still need to look dressed.

The perfect trench coat will never go out of style and is easily incorporated into many looks. 

Another investment piece is a great-fitting blazer that easily takes you from day to night. There are just so many ways to wear it—I personally love it to dress up a pair of jeans.
