I've Been a Stylist for 27 Years—These Pretty Items Elevate My Wardrobe
Many of us have a few items in our closets that feel extra special and help to elevate our wardrobes. For experienced stylist Roz Kaur, that includes her range of pretty pieces. She's been styling for over 20 years, so she has seen and accumulated quite a variety of forward picks, but there is a select group of items in her offering that she deems as true favourites right now.
"We all have to have certain things in place to feel our prettiest, right? Me? It's kind of about a specific grouping of pieces in my closet. Then voilà, I put one on, and I'm feelin' pretty," she said.
Below, you'll uncover the pretty items Kaur adores, complete with visual references that showcase how she's wearing each. If you're in the mood to add another pretty piece to your own wardrobe, there are also inspired product recommendations sprinkled throughout.
Slip Dress
On Kaur: Lan Jaenicke dress
"When I'm in the mood for something super chic, it's always a sleek and simple long slip dress with big chandelier earrings. It's an instant way to look pretty and polished without even trying."
Take the hem to the max.
This neckline is so pretty.
Statement Mules
On Kaur: Christian Louboutin mules
"For everyday glamour, I reach for beautiful mules, like these from Christian Louboutin. I happily wear them all year round."
Sparkly/Beaded Earrings
On Kaur: Moi earrings
"I don't just save my earrings for a special occasion but wear them to add instant chicness to even an old tee or sweatshirt. I live for sparkly beaded or sequined items."
The Tourmaline drops can be removed for two pairs in one.
The shoulder-grazing length is so chic.
Set with fully traceable laboratory-grown diamonds.
Cashmere/Lambswool Knit
On Kaur: Lan Jaenicke top
"When I need warmth without adding bulk, I gravitate toward a flowing cashmere or fine lambswool knit that is delicately warm in both texture and color."
I plan to wear this all winter long.
Red Lipstick
On Kaur: MAC lipstick
"If I were to put on anything that makes me feel pretty in an instant, it would only be classic red lipstick. I think it is a symbol of elegance."
