The 5 New It Bags Our Fashion Friends Are Already Carrying
Nothing gets me giddier than discovering a brand-new designer. It's the reason I can often find myself in a 2 a.m. Instagram hole, eight pages deep, my Saved folder overflowing with new discoveries. For someone who scouts the internet every day for the best shopping, discovering new brands before they become cult is a serious thrill—and honed skill.
Lately, my Saved folder has been racking up a lot of new handbag designers that are around the £500 mark. Each of their designs feels undoubtedly fresh, a tough feat in the current age of designer it bags and logomania. From the perfect polished top-handle bags to quirky printed mini bags that will make any wedding guest outfit, I'm sharing six new brands you might not have heard of yet but definitely will soon.
Go ahead and see the next big names in the accessories world—with love from my Saved folder to yours.
1. Rylan
Lisa Aiken, the fashion director of Moda Operandi, has a proven track record of spotting the next big bag brand, and this year, she's championing Rylan — a brand that creates beautiful leather satchels.
2. Ratio et Motus
Think of that polished top-handle bag your grandma always used to carry, and then add an element of playful surprise and you have Ratio et Motus. The brand's Twin Frame Bag is at once novel and practical, featuring a second mini bag that gives you the option of detaching and wearing each one separately or together.

3. Medea Sisters
Last time I was in NYC, I walked into Opening Ceremony and was immediately drawn to an array of boxy leather totes in dreamy candy colours by the label Medea Sisters. How the team was able to take a simplistic concept and make it extremely cool and cult-worthy is beyond me. I'm hooked.

4. Wandler
Wandler's got the makings of true It-bag potential. The bags are polished and elevated with distinctive, recognizable shapes and come in so many fun colour options. If you're looking for a new investment bag that's both sleek and stylish, Wandler is a very good bet.

5. Rixo
Not technically a handbag designer London-based brand Rixo, which is known for its printed midi dresses, has branched out into accessories. The handbags are all vintage-inspired, with a boxy shape with a top handle and a gold chain strap and a gold shell clasp.
Speaking of It items, this fall piece has officially gone viral.
