How to Find the Best Stuff at Marks and Spencer, According to an Insider
Everyone needs helpful shopping tips every now and again, whether you're hunting down an outfit for a wedding or navigating the oversaturated world of designer bags. When it comes to shopping the high street, you may feel like you're in no need of expert intel, but it's only the most skilled shoppers who can find those wardrobe gems that stand the test of time, regardless of price. This is where Rachel Sullivan, head of content at Marks and Spencer, comes in.
We've followed Sullivan since she started up her Marks and Spencer Insider account in September 2018. Her mission? To find bring you the brand's most stylish standout finds on a daily basis. We've loved her down-to-earth approach to style that combines comfort and wearability with just the right amount of on-trend appeal. She truly has her finger on the pulse when it comes to knowing what M&S pieces are going to sell out. Naturally, we didn't want to keep this secret to ourselves, so we decided to get some insider know-how from the woman herself.
From the unexpected pieces to shop at M&S this season to the best ways to find the best buys online, here are Rachel's top tips for shopping the brand. Scroll down to see what she said and shop her favourite pieces for the new season.
Become an M&S Denim Convert
"It's really worth looking again at M&S denim if you haven't recently. We actually have the biggest market share in denim, and there are some amazing new cuts and washes that feel very fresh and current. The wide-leg crop is a shape I'm really coveting this season."
Check Out Holly's Must-Haves
"Holly's latest Must-Have edit launched in July, and it did so well. Last season was denim-inspired, and there were so many brilliant standout pieces that got snapped up fast. There was a super-cool frilled shirt, a gorgeous denim midi dress and a really on-trend cotton boiler suit (this is the piece everyone went wild for!)"
M&S Dresses Are So Good Right Now
"Our dresses are having a real moment. Whether you're looking for bold animal prints or something a bit more sleek and chic, it's all there. There's a particular white broderie anglaise floaty dress that arrived earlier this year that I couldn't wait to get my hands on."
One to Watch: Logo Tees
"Logo tees are huge this season, and M&S has some amazing ones starting from as little as £6.50. They're the easiest way to update your wardrobe in summer."
Keep an Eye on Style & Living
"Keep checking the 'new-in' and 'style and living' section of the M&S website—this is where you'll find the gems. Don't forget that you can order any time up to 10 p.m. and pick it up in your nearest M&S store the next day—even at a Simply Food!"

Don't Forget About Swimwear
"One thing that's brilliant right now is our swimwear. All of the expertise from our lingerie team goes into the design, so you can feel really supported and still look fabulous on the beach. If you're lucky enough to be getting some sun, the Rosie for Autograph swimwear collection is beautiful."

"Lastly, one great tip is to follow myself (@marksandspencer_rachel) as well as our other brand Instagram accounts, as you'll be able to get a completely unique perspective of M&S. My account is full of the pieces I love and the way I wear them every day."
