Jen An Has Been Wearing This Dress for Decades—and It Looks Better Than Ever
Jennifer Aniston is one of those stars who has stayed fiercely loyal to her personal style, as she has been wearing the same basics for decades. Last night at the premiere of her upcoming film Murder Mystery, Jen wore one of her red carpet staples, a little black leather dress, but updated her signature look with a new silhouette. She wore a Celine black leather sleeveless minidress with a belt at the waist and a high neckline with a sash-effect at the collar. Jen paired her mini with a pair of sky-high black stilettos with stud details along the straps. Jen tends to only wear black on the red carpet, however, leather is one of her favourite ways to make maximum impact with a little black dress.
Leather dresses are poised to become more and more popular in 2019, as this is one of the key trends for autumn and winter. Elizabeth von der Goltz, the Global Buying Director at Net-a-Porter, explained in her trends report: "Leather has become a key player in our wardrobes; it’s now much more accessibly priced and the breadth of styles means we can wear it all year long." There are also a number of designers working to make faux leather feel more elevated—buzzy brands like Nanushka and Kitri are creating beautiful, supple fabrics, rebranded as vegan leather.
