Gigi Hadid Wore the Legging Trend That Looks Good With Every Shoe Type

New mom Gigi Hadid seems to be prioritizing comfort these days, but then again who isn't? This is why leggings have experienced somewhat of a resurgence as of late. Denim and sweatpants may have stolen their thunder, but it was only temporary, as fashion people, celebrities, and tons of cool girls on Instagram are once again embracing them. For months now, the freshest legging trend you can buy has been slit-hem leggings (see the proof in this story and this one from earlier this year). And now Hadid is pushing the trend forward.

While out in NYC over the weekend, Hadid stepped out in a cropped puffer, slit leggings, and neon Nike sneakers. And what strikes us again and again is that this legging trend is able to accommodate any shoe style—sneakers, flip-flops, and ankle boots included, as the fabric simply falls over the shoe in the coolest of ways. Keep scrolling to see what we mean via Gigi's latest outfit, and several others we found on Instagram, and of course, shop the best slit leggings on the market to wear with your entire shoe collection.
