Gigi Hadid's Low-Key Trouser-and-Trainer Formula Is All I Want to Wear Right Now
Don't get us wrong. No one gets all dressed up quite like Gigi Hadid. For proof, count the runway appearances. Yet very few things make us happier than spotting the supermodel in a casual mood, dressed in the coolest, most effortless-looking off-duty outfits. Between leggings and Ugg boots, she always manages to make us see wardrobe items that we often overlook in a totally new light.
Such was the case on Tuesday when Hadid was photographed in New York City wearing an oversize polo-neck top with slouchy grey trousers and a pair of low-top Converse from the trainer brand's recent, nearly sold-out collaboration with Moncler. Sure, she's wearing a glorified groutfit (grey outfit in fashion speak), but that doesn't make it any less chic or worthy of a copy—particularly when her trouser-and-shoe outfit solution is just as comfortable as the joggers and slippers we’ve become accustomed to wearing, only tenfold chicer.
Her specific choice of Chuck Taylors will undoubtedly be hard to get your hands on, especially since they're only available in men's shoe sizes. But Converse's OG Chucks—a forever favourite in the fashion crowd—are always in stock. Even better, they only cost £55. Shop the brand's most popular styles below, and then continue on to consider investing in the most stylish pairs of grey wide-leg trousers to style them with.

Every fashion person I know owns these high-tops.
Low-tops always look chic with black trousers.
Platforms are trending for spring/summer 2022, after all.
These will give the illusion of having longer legs.
I’d wear these with miniskirts and oversize blazers.
Shop lookalike grey trousers:
These Frankie Shop trousers have a track record for selling out.
The jersey fabric makes these trousers extra comfortable.
A jogger/tailored trouser hybrid that I’m totally here for.
