I've considered myself a Francophile for a long while and have studied the nuances of French style with a fine tooth comb, yet since moving to Paris I've honed in on the pieces that constitute a French-inspired wardrobe and the changes per season. At Who What Wear, we're vehemently championing the wardrobes of French women and it's because it boasts a timelessness that's hugely aspirational, particularly as attitudes towards shopping are evolving and people are starting to consider versatility. Paired back and unwavering — a French woman's capsule wardrobe is a firm starting point for a considered and wearable wardrobe. As we begin to consider dressing for spring and summer, transitional pieces are taking precedence and we're optimistically reintroducing natural fabrications, jute bags, thigh-skimming styles and canvas trainers into the fold. The options (although refined) boast a playful element and we're being reacquainted with styles that are best attributed to French style. Take a peak at the pieces wish are high on my wish list for this spring and beyond.
