This Classy, Anti-Trend Dress Style Has the Backing of Kendall Jenner and Sofia Richie
Sometimes in the fashion world, less really is more, and there's no better illustrator of this sentiment than a particular blossoming dress trend. It doesn't get any simpler than a black and white dress, and we've noticed the style circulating in fashion circles and being worn by celebrities and influencers to elevate their spring style.
Kendall Jenner recently styled a white Rodarte dress adorned with black ribbons at the shoulders and featuring puff sleeves, a form-fitting silhouette and an ankle-length cut for a pretty and polished look. Recently, I've seen a surge of dresses with either a black or white base and the opposite colour as an accent or trim, much like Jenner's.
Meanwhile, Sofia Richie Grainge took more of a colour-block approach with the black and white dress she showcased via Instagram—a style from her recently launched collection with Solid & Striped. Featuring a black top and a white, draped skirt, Richie Grainge crafted a relaxed look that celebrated her quiet luxury style perfectly.
The dress trend has been slowly taking over my Instagram feed, so naturally, it makes sense that high-street and designer brands are beginning to stock the style. From Reformation's elegant black midi dress which features a delicate white trim on the bodice to Mango's striking floral style, read on to discover the black and white dresses we're loving this season.
