7 Outfit Formulas to Start Wearing Weekly
While we’re all for testing out new outfit trends, we also find value in having a few standby uniforms to whip out on a regular basis. Because honestly, if you love an ensemble and it makes you feel comfortable and confident, why wouldn’t you want to re-wear it as much as possible, right? That whole notion of not being seen in the same outfit twice is so antiquated at this point anyway, with many people gravitating toward the less-is-more approach to style.
But the question is do you have a signature outfit yet? If your answer is yes, wonderful for you. (Stick around, though, since you might find something below.) If not, I’m here to showcase a few simple yet fashion-forward outfit ideas that could be worthy of a weekly, or heck, even twice-weekly rotation in your life.
With all that in mind, keep scrolling to scope a bit of outfit inspiration, courtesy of some of my favourite style setters. And while most of the looks could probably be crafted using pieces already in your wardrobe, I've also given you an edit of new pieces, if you're looking for a little refresh.
You just can’t deny the power of the jeans-and-blazer ’fit. Timeless in nature, this is one elevated formula you’ll probably never get sick of—and one that will work for a range of occasions (from that 5-to-9 life to the 9-to-5 grind) every week.

The beauty of this outfit is that it’s highly impactful but requires only two pieces. The trick is opting for an eye-catching top that stands on its own with contrasting trousers that feel a bit unexpected and offbeat (like the yellow pants here). The bottom line: If you need an easy outfit to throw on each week when you’re in a hurry, consider the printed knit–and-trousers formula. Flawless.
Shop the look:
A turtleneck teamed with light-washed cropped jeans and sneakers is a no-fail uniform that works for basically any occasion. Throw in a leather jacket—especially a modern blazer-inspired style—and that basic look is suddenly amplified. Definitely an outfit worth repeating on the weekends.
Shop the look:
While you might not think to pair your go-to turtleneck midi dress with anything other than maybe a jacket, layering on an on-trend zip-up pullover is quite forward. It almost makes it feel like a skirt-and-sweater situation. The beauty of this look is you can reiterate it with every dress and chunky knit in your arsenal.
Shop the look:
You might already turn to the dress-and-boots look on the regular given its simple and always-stylish nature. Well, if you’re looking to freshen it up this season, consider swapping out your basic black ankle boots for a very-right-now shoe style like combat boots for a vibe that’s especially current.
Shop the look:
A versatile outfit formula you can wear for multiple occasions is always smart to keep in the back of your mind. Take this look, for example. The satin trousers and structured blazer make it dressy enough for work or an event, but the tee brings the vibe down a level to feel effortless and low-key. While you might not wear this exact outfit every week, this silhouette with similar pieces could definitely make it in the rounds.
Shop the look:
It’s really no secret that a camel-coloured coat will make any ensemble feel next-level polished. If you don’t have one yet, it might be worth the investment because I guarantee you’ll wear it weekly (if not daily) when the weather is right. Just look at how elevated this feels with the coat over a mock-neck top, long jeans and ankle boots. Note that a chunky gold chain over a sweater is also where it’s at.
