I'm a Shopping Expert—29 New-In Buys That Stopped Me in My Tracks
As a Who What Wear UK editor specifically focused on finding the very best shopping buys for you, I spend an awful lot of time scrolling through brands’ new-in sections. And when I’m not combing websites for standout pieces, I’m usually in-store trying them on, which means I get an even better idea of what new things are actually worth buying. I feel the fabrics and get to grips with the fits and detailing, all of which helps me recommend only top-tier products when I write these articles.
I come across so many great pieces but some are just better than others—like, next-level good. And those are usually the pieces that end up on my own wish list (and often in my own wardrobe). So I thought I’d create a space here to collate all these truly amazing new-in buys each month and pass on the knowledge of what a fashion editor would actually consider buying for herself.
I’m always on the lookout for pieces that can make outfits look the most stylish and expensive with as little effort as possible, so you’ll find a lot of easy but chic pieces below. Longevity and versatility also play a huge part in the elimination process when I’m thinking about whether something is worth buying. If a piece is good quality and can be dressed up and down, as well as layered up in all seasons, it's likely that you'll get more wear out of it.
So, with this criteria in mind, below I've curated 31 new-in buys that I've come across lately that have seriously impressed me. Any one of them would add worth to your wardrobe, and you can have full confidence that each piece has a shopping expert's backing.
Shop the New Pieces Really Worth Your Money:
I couldn't decide whether I wanted to invest in a suede blazer or a barn jacket this season, and now I don't have to choose thanks to this dreamy new Zara number.
A perfect spring knit if ever I saw one. Wear with white denim for a fresh but polished look.
I simply can't recommend Marks and Spencer's new-in section enough lately. All of my friends are bored of me yapping on about how great their edit is for 2025, and this expensive-looking jacket is top of my list.
COS's viral bowling bag just got a delicious new (more compact) upgrade. We sent our shopping editor, Florrie Alexander, into store to check it out and she confirmed that it does in fact fit a laptop (the whole team were dying to know).
These trousers are a lesson in looking extremely cool and polished at the same time.
A previous sellout hit, these influencer-loved trainers just came back in stock. Leopard print may seem loud, but it's a time-honoured classic print that never really goes out of fashion. Simply add to a neutral jeans and a T-shirt outfit to make it that little bit more special.
Suede AND barrel leg: Two of my current favourite trends ticked off in one great pair of trousers.
Simple but effective. There's nothing like a crisp new T-shirt to make your tired jeans come back to life. Buy this oversized and avoid the urge to tuck it in.
Chunky engagement rings are having a moment thanks to Dua Lipa's reported new style, and I've found myself drawn to the way they can really level up a ring stack. Why wait for someone to pop the question, though, when you can so easily get the look yourself from this buzzy new jewellery brand.
I recently had my first child and I've decided I want to be a white floaty blouse and cool jeans-wearing mum this spring. It's just a timeless look isn't it? Dôen is where I'll be going to buy my one investment style this year.
A studded belt is such an easy way to update your favourite basics for 2025.
A denim shirt is a non-negotiable for me in a spring wardrobe. I bought last year's version of this style and the quality is just incredible— I've worn it on repeat but it still looks brand new.
Deck shoes, boat shoes—whatever you call them, they're about to be everywhere this spring. Loafers girlys will love this suede update from Mint Velvet (known for their excellent quality buys).
An investment piece that will make all your basic outfits look more stylish right now. I'd wear this with the H&M barrel jeans, COS sunnies and Adidas trainers below for an easy but elevated everyday outfit.
Slouchy, barrel-shaped and as creamy as your single shot oat milk latte—these jeans will be a sure fire best-seller.
I'm not saying Sambas are over (I own too many pairs myself to wage that war), but for my next Adidas trainers purchase I'll be opting for this pair of Japans. They offer the same easy-to-style retro feel without being absolutely everywhere.
Linda Farrow has joined forces with COS again for an eternally cool sunglasses collab. These ractangular frames are my personal fave.
These may seem rather summery for right now (I'm literally sat wearing a wooly hat inside as I write this). But, we all know how fast a great H&M buy sells out, so if you like the idea of wafting around in these floaty trousers (and matching shirt) on your next holiday, don't sleep on them.
If you're yet to invest in a great trench coat, a) what's the hold up, and b) let me guide you towards Mango who, IMO, do the best quality iterations on the high street year after year.
A simply beautiful pair of timeless leather loafers. You'll reach for these season after season.
Spring is around the corner, after all, and this buttery yellow knit will instantly breathe life into your existing wardrobe.
Absolutely no notes on this jacket. Don't mind me, I'm just off to find some black capri trousers to copy the full look.
If spring was a skirt, there's no doubt it would be this one. I'm predicting we're about to see this blazer + full skirt outfit combination all over fashion month so jump on it now to be a leader, not a follower.
Us Who What Wear editors don't agree on everything, but we do all believe that Reformation's best-selling Clara cardigan is worth the investment. It's made using beautiful quality recycled cashmere, but it's also undoubtedly the best lightweight, crew neck, works-perfectly-over-a-white-t-shirt cardigan we've come across. Now it's available in this painfully pretty pink shade that has sent it straight back to the top of my wish list.
Who What Wear UK's fashion editor, Remy Farrell, is known for her impeccable taste, and she brought this blazer to the team's attention this week after seeing it in real life and confirming how expensive it looked.
Pair these with all of the chocolate brown items you bought for autumn, and watch as they transform into spring-ready pieces like (Manolo) magic.
Influencer, Jessica Skye, made me want to add this to my Free People cart immediately. As she proves, it looks great layered up for colder days now, but the gingham will really come into its own as spring appears.
