These Big, New Trends Are Truly Ageless, and We Have Proof
Here at Who What Wear, we don't subscribe nor even remotely entertain the notion that younger is better. Sure, we might search for skincare that ensures our complexions look their best, but as far as we see it, ageing is a privilege, something to be celebrated, that does not define you or how you live your life.
This brings us to our intended topic: clothes. We're of the opinion that, regardless of your age, if you like something and it makes you feel good, then you should wear it—no questions asked. As for not being able to wear specific trends because of your age? That's a myth. Any worthwhile fashion movement can be tailored to suit anyone. If it can't, then it's not a "trend" we'd share with you.
Instead, when we consider ageless style, we look beyond moments, We seek out pieces with no expiration date, pieces that you can wear for years and years without them becoming passé. You’ll find six examples of such items below. Whether you’re 18 or 80, keep scrolling to see the looks that prove ageless style does exist.
PINSTRIPES
Stripes are always on the style agenda and, as such, make for a great investment. This season marks the return of the '90s pinstripe, which, as Grece demonstrates, looks incredibly chic.

CHAIN NECKLACES
Barely a day goes by where we don't add a chain necklace to give our working-from-home outfits a lift. Next, we'll be wearing ours with a cardigan sans top, just like Tennille.
Shop the trend:
COLOURED LEATHER
Leather always looks expensive, even if it's of the vegan variety. However, wearing shades of black and burgundy can become somewhat monotonous. Try a bright or rich hue, and it'll breathe new life into your outfit repertoire.
Shop the trend:
KNITTED POLOS
Having started out life as a trend last year, the knitted polo neck is going to become a certified wardrobe classic. Make like Kim and wear it with ecru jeans for a fresh spring take.

LOOSE-FIT TROUSERS
If you've dutifully read our spring/summer 2021 trend report, then you'll already know that trouser shapes are going to be more relaxed this year. Wide-leg trousers are elegant and have the ability to make even the most basic tops look sleek. If you're worried about yours being too oversize, belt them at the waist.

JUMPER DRESSES
We've devoted countless articles to our love of jumper dresses and how easy they are to style. Make like Renia and wear yours with polished black accessories for the ultimate in ageless style.
