You’ve probably seen Golde’s signature salmon-hued bags of superfood lattes dominating your social feeds. With its good-for-you ingredients and plethora of glowing reviews, Golde, the Brooklyn-based indie brand that specializes in superfood-boosted health and beauty essentials, is well on its way to becoming a household name in wellness.
We asked co-founder Trinity Mouzon Wofford how she’s starting her mornings while in quarantine and learned that she has a refreshingly approachable attitude toward self-care.
Keep reading to see how Mouzon Wofford keeps herself healthy (and hydrated) these days.

Right now, I'm spending some time with my partner and our family upstate in quarantine. I don't like to rely on an alarm because it disrupts your sleep cycle. Since I'm a morning person, I'm usually up around 6 a.m, especially during summer when the sun rises so early!
6:30 A.M.
The first thing I do when I wake up is drink a bunch of water. I find that proactively hydrating after sleep keeps me from feeling like I'm playing catch up all day!
I like to do two eight-ounce glasses in a row. I swear by my Big Berkey water filter. It's sort of an investment piece, but it costs way less than a Brita filter when you do the math because the filters last forever. It gives you the tastiest water ever. We have friends come over who are literally like, "First up, I need some of that water y'all have."
7:30 A.M.
I try to sign off from emails by 6 p.m. each night, so by the next morning, there's usually a good amount to catch up on.
I start off my day with a hot coffee, boosted with our Cacao Turmeric latte blend. I recommend this recipe to everyone, especially people who aren't big on the wellness game just yet. The Cacao Turmeric blend is like a healthy hot cocoa, and when you mix it with coffee, you get the yummiest mocha situation.
For coffee beans, I really love Canyon Coffee or Dripkit. The superfoods in the Cacao Turmeric blend also help to naturally boost gut health and immunity and destress, so it's a good way to start the day.

More beverages! This time, it's my go-to morning smoothie that I make for myself and my partner every weekday. Again, hydration is the name of the game in the a.m., so I love to make sure I'm getting in liquids with my first meal.
The smoothie recipe is lightly inspired by my friend Nicole Berri at Bonberi. Her green smoothie is legendary. I do celery and romaine plus whatever frozen fruit is on hand. (This one was wild blueberries and mango.) Add a nob of ginger, top with water or kefir (for gut health), and blend on high.
If I need a little extra sweetness I like to add dried mulberries, which you can get in the fruit-and-nut section of any health-food store!
9:30 A.M.
I'm big on walks, and while we're upstate, it's so great to take a few minutes out of the morning to get outside and into nature. This is a photo of the driveway up here, which is conveniently a quarter of a mile long! Real country stuff, y'all. I walk this down to the road and back and usually stop along the way to pick a couple of wildflowers.
10 A.M.
Skincare and more emails! I like to do Golde's Clean Greens face mask before I shower. I mix the mask with a little bit of water to activate it. It's made with green superfoods like chlorella and spirulina and also has mango. Basically a green smoothie for your skin.
This one helps me a lot with healing breakouts or any inflammation. I'll leave it on for about 15 minutes until it's dry.
10:15 A.M.
Shower time! The best part of the remote work situation is being able to pace out my morning routine. Once I've handled anything urgent in my inbox, I hop into the shower. Right now, I'm loving this seaweed body wash that I picked up from Dimes in Chinatown.
I keep it pretty simple, so I wash with that, apply a little castor oil to my hair if it needs it, and get ready for the day!
