Trust Me—These 5 Microtrends Will Be Big News Next Month

While the S/S 20 runways, which happened way back in September, largely dictated the trends of the coming season, they aren't the be-all and end-all. Naturally, some trends evolve closer to the time, and that's exactly what we're seeing now that spring is on the horizon.
Thanks in no small part to social media, trends are now born overnight. And while they might start off life as micro-movements, there are five trends, in particular, that are gaining serious steam right now.
From the new It-bag detail to the jewellery trend that's set to take over to the cult-status top that's just been restocked, keep scrolling to see and shop the trending now fashion buys of 2020.
CHUNKY CHAIN BAGS
Bags have been erring on the refined side of things over the last few months, but they're about to take an edgy turn this spring with the addition of chunky chain straps.
SHIRRED TOPS
& Other Stories may have kick-started this trend on the high street at the end of 2019, but H&M's soldout top shirred top has made it a 2020 cult buy. It's no coincidence, then, that & Other Stories' black style has just been restocked.
SIGNET RINGS
Chain necklaces might have been the biggest bijoux trend on the runways, but as far as the Instagram set is concerned, springtime is all about signet rings.
FLUFFY BUCKET HATS
BRIGHT GINGHAM
Gingham will always be a warm-weather hit, and this year, things are taking a brighter turn. Picnic prints in primary colours are proving all the rage right now, and when they look this pretty, it's not hard to see why.
Next, eight bags that are dominating street style pictures in 2020.
