I'm a Fashion Editor, and These Are the It-Girl Sneakers I'm Adding to My Wardrobe This Spring

Sneakers are part of my everyday uniform nowadays, something I may have not said with such ease about five years ago. (I've always favored Carrie Bradshaw–style shoes over anything else.) With each passing year, my loyalties lie with shoe trends that are practical, comfortable, and cool—which is why my shoe closet is now filled to the brim with stylish sneakers. Moreover, I've been 100% influenced by the fashion industry's acceptance of sneakers over the past decade and the exciting resurgence, in particular, of retro sneakers that has taken the fashion crowd by storm.
While there are a number of brands and styles I dabble in, I always come back to It-girl favorite Adidas. My white Sambas are practically a classic at this point, but there's a whole host of cool styles that I'm spotting on the fashion crowd this season that I can't wait to add to my own spring wardrobe. Below, I'm sharing all the chicest Adidas styles I have an eye on this season, from the cool Adidas Tokyos to the ever-popular suede Spezial sneakers.
Tokyo
Featuring a streamlined design that's set on a fine sole, Adidas's Tokyo trainers are light and wearable and much easier to dress up than oversize and chunky styles. These are high up on my spring wish list.
Taekwondo
Adidas's Taekwondo sneakers tap into the sports-inspired sneaker trend that's been steadily gaining momentum. They pair effortlessly with chic shorts and track pants as well as elevated staples such as dark-wash jeans and slip dresses.
SL 72
Adidas's SL 72s have been a big hit among the fashion crowd this past year, especially with stylish Scandis and Europeans who love their retro charm fused with quirky color combos.
Handball Spezial
A chic way to lean into the suede-sneaker trend is with a pair of Spezial sneakers. The variety of colors the iconic, low-profile shoes offer is incredible, and the brand's collabs, such as its latest with Sporty & Rich, have cool girls flocking to the versatile style.
Samba Long Tongue
For the Samba lovers among us who want to expand their collections, the long-tongue silhouette is a must. With a sporty soccer sensibility, they'll add a fresh, cool touch to your elevated basics. Plus, the latest color combos are so chic.
Samba OG
Still on the Samba bandwagon? I don't blame you. They're classic and timeless and will never go out of style. I'm eyeing a few colorways to add to my arsenal this season.
Gazelle
Once confined to indoor training, the Adidas Gazelle shoes have since stepped their way into street culture to earn icon status. The brand offers a variety of suede and velvet options that will add a retro flair to any outfit.
