My Totême Scarf Jacket Is the Best Thing I've Ever Bought—Here's How I Wear It
As someone who thinks over every purchase she makes incredibly thoroughly—you definitely don't want to tag along on my next Tesco shop—you can imagine the hours I spent deliberating over buying Totême's scarf jacket. You know the one; the cover-up that's dominated your social media for two winters now, and it's appeal is showing no signs of waning. With its oversize silhouette, thick felted wool fabrication, contrast whip-stitched edging and chic, built-in scarf, it's the equivalent of an Instagram-like honey trap, which is probably why so many influencers have invested in it. This, however, was something I was wary of—especially when it comes with a price tag that requires some consideration. After months—wait, make that a full year—of admiring it from afar, last October, I decided to treat myself to it. "I can always return it," I told myself as I entered my card details into the Net-a-Porter check-out, and I had every intention to do so if it didn't live up to my high expectations. Almost three months on, however, we're in a fully committed relationship.
Honestly, the Totême scarf jacket is the best thing I've ever bought. I love it. I've worn it day and night almost every single day since our paths crossed, and it still hasn't lost its appeal. The standout detailing is compliment-inducing and loans itself perfectly to after-dark styling, mainly because it feels fancy enough to match my prettiest clothes. During the day, however, it bestows everything from basic jean-and-trainer looks to knitted co-ords with the effortlessly cool vibe I've always longed to hone. It makes getting ready easy; so much so, I'm hoping we're in for a long winter and chilly springtime just so I can wear it for longer.
I could go on and on about how great Totême's scarf jacket is, but why don't I show you instead? Below I've shopped out all the iterations that are currently in stock (my slate grey version has just been restocked!); afterwards, you can peruse my favourite Totême's scarf jacket outfits that I've worn so far.

Okay, so I'm really into the khaki, but what sane person can justify two? Asking for a friend...
