The Tony Awards Looks That Deserve a Standing Ovation
Whether you're familiar with the Tony Awards or not (this editor hasn't missed a broadcast of it in 25 years), you probably at least know that it's the annual celebration of Broadway's finest performances. Per usual, the ceremony is taking place at Radio City Music Hall, and per usual (since 2015), theater buff Anna Wintour likely had a hand in styling certain nominees and attendees. Wintour always attends the Tony Awards with her fellow theater buff (and daughter) Bee Carrozzini, who works in the theater industry now. (Fun fact: The rainbow red carpet backdrop was Carrozzini's idea, in celebration of Pride Month.) And since Wintour's been involved, there's often a handful of models gracing the red carpet alongside the likes of Broadway stars like Sutton Foster and Laura Benanti.
This year, the casts and creators of hit nominated shows like Hadestown and Oklahoma are anticipated to walk the carpet alongside presenters like Sienna Miller, Tina Fey, and Regina King. Scroll on to see which looks deserve a standing ovation, and be sure to check back for new looks as the evening progresses.
