6:04 A.M.
You can hate me if you want to, but yep—I’m a morning person. I’m always up around 6 a.m., and I’m nonstop once my feet hit the floor. I start on my phone, scrolling through my album of past lunches I’ve made for my son Wells to figure out what to make him this a.m. (This helps me focus and is an excuse to stay in bed longer.) What I pick ends up being what I have enough time to make.
Anyone else’s little ones obsessed with sweets? Yeah, I thought so. Mine is talking about ice cream before it’s even 6:30 a.m.
6:45 A.M.
I make a super C cocktail from NaturesPlus Liquid Vitamin C and GoopGlow every morning while I whip up lunch. Great for the immune system and your skin. Plus, it’s perfect for those who have a tough time with large vitamins (like me!).
The battle every mom tackles daily: getting my kiddo dressed with hair and teeth brushed and packed up for school. I’ve gotten creative and turned it into everything from a game to a dance party. Whatever gets the job done, right?
7:38 A.M.
Finally! All packed up and ready for school. I love Wells’ sense of style. He likes to dress himself, which is apparent on some days more than others.
8:02 A.M.
Apply 111Skin eye masks, lounge in La Ligne pj's, and proceed to relax for the day while Wells is at school.
Okay, get real. I like to take advantage of the nice weather whenever possible (in Texas, you never know) and head outside to my happy place: the garden. The scene would be idyllic if I didn’t have my computer (but I always do) and my phone! In between watering my plants and checking on how each is faring, I’m catching up on emails and managing social for The Yes (one of my many hats there—more to come on that later).
8:20 A.M.
Work out with the one and only Joanna Czech! Zoom workouts are my new Bikram yoga—it's a great way to stay fit while we’ve been stuck at home. I love working out in Live the Process. Its Ballet Leggings and Tops are some of my daily favorites.
9:15 A.M.
Did I say "stay fit”? JK. Forty-five minutes later, I’m dying. It’s been hard staying in my fitness routine since launching The Yes in the middle of a pandemic. But one day at a time, okay?
Time for my shower and skincare routine. My top five products I can’t live without are Vertly's CBD Face Mist, Tata Harper's Brightening Essence, Augustinus Bader's Rich Cream, Clé de Peau Beauté's Concealer, and Glossier's Boy Brow.
I always wear a La Vie Style House robe in the morning; it reminds me to not skip products on my neck and chest and puts me in a glam mood.
Even though I’ve been working entirely from home, I like to get "dressed." I think it helps me focus and just feel more productive. Plus, it seriously brightens my mood. Mixing prints, having fun with it… This is my zone!
9:50 A.M.
Mail call! It drives my husband crazy, but I’m a notorious procrastinator when it comes to unboxing. (Yeah, I don’t get it either, but we all have our things.) In today’s stack: a new collab from one of my all-time favorite brands, Kule! They’ve teamed up with Madewell on some great pieces. Also, an intro to LoveSeen, the cool new lashes brand from none other than Jenna Lyons.
There are also a few sussies from brands that are holding their S/S 21 presentations online. Very thoughtful, Silvia Tcherassi!
Inspired by the goodies I opened in the mail, I’m doing an outfit switch. (C’mon, you don’t really need an excuse though.)
11 A.M.
Work, work, work. But I love my job! At The Yes, I get to work with so many of my favorite brands. We’re a newly launched fashion app that actually gets smarter the more you "YES” and "NO” items while you shop (hence the name). We have 100s of the best names in fashion on our roster and are adding new brands all the time. Balenciaga is one of the most recent ones to join!
Download the app and get $25 off when you invite a friend. (You can link accounts to see what each other is loving, which is a very nice touch during these times.)
12 P.M.
Going out for an errand, and of course, I’m wearing my Kule Vote socks. C’mon, y’all! Let’s turn out for a record-setting vote.
