To say that we're ready for spring would be the understatement of 2018. Our New York–based editors endured way too many snow days over the past few months (fun when you're an 11-year-old with a sled; less so when you're an adult with a full-time job), while those of us in L.A. endured their daily weather-related complaints from afar. Needless to say, we're all decidedly eager for the warmer days ahead and are preparing our closets accordingly.

While we're not donning spring dresses for work just yet, our activewear game is more than ready for a new-season overhaul. That means finally getting to wear our favorite sports bra–and-legging sets from JoyLab's latest drop. For styling inspiration, we asked the always-fashionable Mary Lawless of Happily Grey to take the performance-meets-style collection for a spin (yes, she's an exercise aficionado too). Below, find out Lawless's favorite ways to stay in shape, and see the stylish athleisure looks she's wearing on repeat.

While she describes the current state of her closet as an "epic mess," the workout looks stored within are anything but. Let's be real: She's the girl we're eyeing, wondering where she got her leggings. "Sometimes it's SO hard to wake up at 5 a.m. for a run," Lawless tells us. "What motivates me is remembering how I feel after I work out."

What's motivating us? The modern square neckline and thick striped straps of her sports bra, plus the equally sporty-chic matching high-waisted pants. Knowing that everything will stay in place while running or power-walking (hey, we don't judge) means one less thing we have to worry about while hitting the trails.

As for those post-work yoga classes? "I often gravitate toward high-waisted leggings and a sports bra—that's really my go-to," she says. This particular set features a softer material that'll help you get into the head space for a workout that's also a bit easier on the body. What we really love about this pale-pink outfit is its comfort factor; whether we decide to try all those crazy inversions or spend the entire class lying down in shavasana, we know we'll be covered.

Now back to those abs, because you know we had to ask Lawless about her typical workout routine. "I'm usually in the gym three to four times a week with my trainer," she says. "Sometimes we're using TRX indoors; other times we go outside for sprints." If you've tried TRX, you know it's an intense and particularly sweaty workout, so pants and a sports bra in a wicking material are key. We're also especially into the logomania trend that this look expertly taps into.

Just because Lawless wakes up for 5 a.m. workouts doesn't mean her phone is always her alarm clock. "I used to be the first one up, but then I got a puppy," she tells us. "My 120-pound Great Dane puppy is always anxious for a morning walk, and loving on him is my favorite way to start the day!" Her outfit is animal-inspired here too—note the leopard-print bra and leggings. "It's so much easier getting up on cloudy mornings when you have something fun to wear!" Preach, girl.

Don't forget about JoyLab's tops and outerwear pieces—they're just as fun as they are functional. Shop the full collection, co-designed by us and available exclusively at Target, to see exactly what we mean.
