The Natural, Luxurious Perfume of Our Dreams Didn't Exist, so We Created It
The Lineup is a monthly series where we're giving you an inside peek at the beauty lineups of cool fashion people, editors, makeup artists, hairstylists, and aestheticians—all the people we trust the most. Get ready for a behind-the-scenes look at all the can't-live-without products that make their worlds go round.
Ever since I was sent Eauso Vert's Discovery Set ($60), which features all five eco-conscious fragrances from the brand, I've found myself in a sizable choke hold. Not only does the brand prove that clean, nontoxic fragrances can actually last all day or night, but in my *very picky* eyes, each of the unique scents is also a sparkling masterpiece. If you twist my arm, I'll tell you Sintra and TikTok-viral Purple Noon are my favorites, but I truly love them all.
Founded by Tanya Gonzalez and Faye Harris, Eauso Vert has a refreshing commitment to transparency and sustainability—a rarity in an industry that is often cloaked in undisclosed trade secrets, many of which are, quite literally, toxic. "Manufacturers aren't legally required to disclose the ingredients used in their fragrances," Harris explains. "This means the term 'fragrance' can house a mixture of potentially hundreds of undisclosed chemicals if the manufacturer chooses not to share this detail. Without transparency, consumers can't really make informed decisions about the product they use." (Eauso Vert, for the record, uses 13 upcycled ingredients within its five-scent lineup in addition to 97 to 99% of ingredients developed using green chemistry.)
Even though skincare, haircare, and makeup have made huge strides in the "clean" category, Gonzalez and Harris (who met during their 10+ years working in beauty marketing) noticed a gaping hole in the luxury-fragrance arena. "We wanted to build something really intentional in our sustainability efforts and the design of the brand—everything from packaging to formulation to community," says Harris. "We developed the concept of Eauso Vert to open the conversation of transparency and sustainability within the luxury-fragrance category while creating these really unique, long-lasting, genderless scents."
While the founders both told me their own Eauso favorites (Joga and Vanilla Embers for Gonzalez and Purple Noon and Vanilla Embers for Harris), I was curious to get to know the rest of their beauty lineup, especially considering their many years of working in the beauty industry. Keep scrolling! Gonzalez and Harris are spilling every detail and ride-or-die beauty must-have below.
Faye's Lineup
"Tanya actually introduced me to this brand and their products, and now every time I visit San Francisco, I stock up on this moisturizer! I've even gotten my boyfriend into using Attar. It's such a beautiful product. It's hydrating, smells deliciously floral, and has truly changed my skin. I have such dry skin, and this saves me!"
"I love a body lotion with a pump—it just makes it so much easier to use right out of the shower. This formula absorbs into the skin really fast and hydrates all day."
"I discovered this brand last year and really love their 'soap on a rope,' so the soap isn't slipping out of your hands in the shower! I only ever use soaps now, and I really enjoy the Morning Glory one. It has oatmeal for light exfoliation and mint to wake up the skin."
"I am obsessed with this product. I try to refrain from drying my hair with the hair dryer too often, and this Air Dry Foam provides the perfect natural wave to my hair and doesn't dry frizzy. I think I've told everyone about this product!"
"My bestie Maram gifted me this product, and I use it every time I wash my hair. It soaks up all the excess water in your hair and prevents breakage. I always use this before applying my Ouai Air Dry Foam."
"This silicone-free shampoo is divine. It smells like holiday, so it's such a nice shower ritual every time I wash my hair. I love the packaging too."
"I don't use this all the time, but when I do, I really notice a tightening of my skin. I really should use it more, actually. It's an LED light therapy mask that has both blue and red lights to target both wrinkles and blemishes."
"I've repurchased this product so many times. It's the only makeup remover I use, as it's incredibly gentle on the skin while removing every last inch of makeup. It's especially effective at removing mascara."
"I use the 15% version of this product. My dermatologist recommended I use this to brighten my skin and achieve a nice glow. It's a little expensive but so worth it. I truly think it's changed my skin."
"I'm incredibly fair, and I try to keep my face out of the sun as much as possible. I mix a few drops of the lightest shade of these drops into my moisturizer to provide a healthy, natural-looking glow."
"This is such a lovely, gentle exfoliator. My skin is dry, so I need to exfoliate often without stripping my skin of moisture. It lasts such a long time too! I just mix a tiny bit with water in the shower."
"I probably should have started using retinol earlier, but I'm glad I started now—this has really changed the texture of my skin."
"I mix shades 3 and 4 Neutral in the summer but wear a 3 in the winter. I don't like to wear a lot of face makeup, so one small pump of this gives me the perfect amount of natural coverage, and it's really light. I love the tube pump, which makes it really easy to travel with."
"[This is] the first fragrance we created and my everyday scent. It's a really beautiful, beachy, salty, solar scent that just puts me in a really great mood every time I wear it."
"I was gifted this candle and now buy it for myself. The throw on it is incredible. It really scents a whole room. I normally wouldn't choose a floral scent, but I'm glad I tried this because it really surprised me. Perhaps [it's] because it's anchored in sage and patchouli, which balances the blend of florals."
"I've been using this lip balm in Grapefruit forever! I think I have one in every handbag. I love that it hydrates and gives a lovely glow, and honestly, I barely wear anything else on my lips now. I have the Lip Sleep Mask version as well!"
Tanya's Lineup
"I worked for a skincare brand where peels, toners, and acids were experimented with often—so much so that my skin was in need of a major reset. I struggled with redness and dryness until I met my wonderful esthetician, Marija, at skin studio Monastery (located in San Francisco). In addition to being one of the best facials you'll ever receive, they're home to luxury botanical skincare, which has truly saved my skin."
"A light daytime serum that can be worn alone or under makeup as a primer. I sometimes wear this and only this during Zoom calls, as the finish leaves a beautiful, dewy glow to bare skin."
"I've cleaned out my entire vanity and replaced all water-based products with oil products. I use this face oil in the evenings and have even gotten my fiancé to fall in love with this product. He's a no-fuss skincare user, so for him to use this means it's that good. Quite literally liquid gold."
"As someone who struggles with eczema, it's so important for me to have a balm in my collection to reach for when my skin is in need of extra care. This works wonders during winter months or when I need to hydrate the thinner areas of my face like lips and eyelids. It doesn't hurt that the smell of this jar is absolutely divine and makes for a nice at-home spa moment."
"Sensitive-skin girlies, this one's for you. So many body moisturizers contain ingredients that actually work against those that have skin sensitivities. This cold-pressed jojoba oil is so hydrating and easy on the skin. It's also vegan and cruelty-free. (You'd be surprised to know that many body moisturizers are not!)"
"The amount of hair that would wind up on my shower walls or floor was alarming, and I was looking for haircare that could help remedy that. I'm on my third reorder of this stuff, and I'm happy to report that it's helped reduce hair shedding tenfold!"
"Same as above goes for the conditioner. A little goes a long way, and I've noticed zero scalp irritation with this product, which is not always the case!"
"A friend of mine got me into gua sha–ing, and it's become one of the best additions to my skincare routine! It really helps improve circulation and has helped me reduce stress lines in my forehead. It's also a nice little ritual in the morning, where I can start my day on the right foot."
"I got my brows laminated once and had such a hard time maintaining the shape! I'm a low-maintenance gal, and this stuff lasts all day without flaking. It's perfect for no-makeup days, making me feel extra polished with freshly shaped, zero-effort brows."
"I love how natural looking this cream blush formula is. The performance is unmatched. It lasts all day and wears so beautifully with my oil- and cream-based products without moving on my skin. I also love how thoughtful the packaging is and get compliments on the shade Joyful and Desired Glow all the time!"
"I love this skin tint! Once I entered my mid-30s, I noticed subtle changes with how makeup sits on my skin. I need something that doesn't settle in fine lines and actually looks like my skin, but better. It's light but buildable and adds a nice dewy finish for a hydrating-without-being-oily look."
"The founder of San Maris candles, Alicia, is also a makeup artist who put me on this brand. It's such a beautiful yet practical formula. I love a matte/blurred lip look, and this helps me achieve that same effect without drying out my lips. Extra points for being vegan and cruelty-free—highly recommend!"
"Perfect for days that require an extra boost without spritzing an overpowering scent. Crisp, clean, and coupled with a warm, woody base that melts on the skin for a cozy dry-down."
"The cleanest burn with the biggest throw. When it comes to candles, I've tried them all. In fact, I've become known as the candle gal in my close circle. I love the creamy coconut wax (paraffin-free) and complex scent profiles. This one is rather aquatic with a warm and creamy undertone. So good for entryways or bathrooms! The brand itself is Latinx owned and run by a self-taught perfumer. Vegan and cruelty-free, of course!"
"This stuff saves. I recently embarked on my Invisalign journey and fell victim to dry/chapped lips. I tried so many different brands, and none seemed to work! Some even made my lips worse. Not this beauty. Female owned and made in small batches, this formula is worth every penny. It's a splurge, but a little goes a long way, and it will keep you from buying a million other balms that don't do it like this one!"

She now calls Santa Monica home but grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and studied writing, rhetoric, and communication at University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. She studied abroad in Galway, Ireland, and spent a summer in L.A. interning with the Byrdie and Who What Wear family. After graduating from UW, she spent one year in San Francisco, where she worked as a writer for Pottery Barn Kids and PBteen before moving down to L.A. to begin her career as a beauty editor. She considers her day-to-day beauty aesthetic very low-maintenance and relies on staples like clear brow serum (from Kimiko!), Lawless's Lip Plumping Mask in Cherry Vanilla, and an eyelash curler. For special occasions or days when she's taking more meetings or has an event, she'll wear anything and everything from Charlotte Tilbury (the foundations are game-changing), some shimmer on her lids (Stila and Róen do it best), and a few coats of the best mascara-type product on earth, Surratt's Noir Lash Tint.
