This Is the Hypebae Uniform of Summer 2018
So I kind of have a thing for Hypebae style. Even though I don't wear sneakers on the daily, I'm always fascinated by the cool streetwear-esque looks I see on Hypebae girls everywhere. You should see my saved folder on my Instagram; it's filled with all the sneaker outfits I find so inspiring but haven't tried yet myself.
When it comes to the trends these girls are wearing right now, there's one in particular that I'm betting every Hypebae fan will get on board with for summer. It's super simple, though, so it's almost not even a trend. Lately, It girls like Kaia Gerber and Devon Carlson have been wearing plain ribbed tank tops with their sneaker outfits. Seems super simple, right? If you usually get by on a heavy supply of white T-shirts in your wardrobe, then these tank top outfits will make you want to trade in the classic sleeved pieces for the more warm weather–appropriate summer staple.
Just like the outfits below, I plan on wearing my simple tank top with a pair of workwear-inspired cargo pants and retro chunky-soled sneakers. Ahead, see which tank top outfits I'll be copying and then shop my picks for tank tops that are stylish as they are simple.
Layer a cropped tank top underneath an oversize shirt to create a cool contrast.
Copy this ideal summer weekend look: plain tank + cargo pants + belt bag + chunky sneakers.
Though the white ribbed tank is a classic pick, we also love the wardrobe basic in every other color, too.
DIY your tank into a crop top by cutting off the bottom à la Devon Carlson.
Wear yours with army pants and ankle boots for something more military-inspired.
Tiny sunglasses are yet another Hypebae favorite, and we have to say we love how they look here.
