People Always Compliment Me on My Skin When I’m Wearing This Glowy SPF
There's a reason why it's a cult classic—sun protection and a mega glow.

There are two defining moments of my life in beauty: before discovering Supergoop! Glowscreen (£37), and after discovering Supergoop! Glowscreen. With the importance of wearing SPF daily more widely understood than ever before, I set about finding a sunscreen that I would actually want to wear every single day. And it was a tall order. On my sensitive and acne-prone skin, it's hard to find one that doesn't sting my eyes, but still works underneath makeup and doesn't break out my skin. But thankfully, I stumbled upon Supergoop! Glowscreen, and I've never looked back.
I'm now on my fourth consecutive tube, and I can truthfully say that it's hands-down the one skincare product that I now cannot live without year-round. Whenever I wear this glowy SPF, someone compliments me on my skin, which is a testament to just how great it makes my complexion look. Want in? Scroll ahead to find out what all the fuss is about.
Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 30 Review
The ultimate glowy-skin sunscreen.
Pros
- Glowing, pearlescent sheen
- Comes in four shades
- Looks great worn alone or underneath makeup
- SPF 30 protection
- Suits all skin types
- Contains niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5
- Vegan
Cons
- Not suitable for those who prefer a matte finish
The Formula
Let's get into the formula. What makes this product so incredible is its pearlescent sheen, which gives the skin the kind of glow that makes it look like you've downed two litres of water, had a facial and just emerged from the spa. It's not a skin tint or foundation, but it does have a blurring effect on application. Whilst the formula has a slight beige tint, this blends out into a transparent sheen on my skin tone.
It used to come in just one universal shade, but thankfully, Supergoop! has brought an additional three shades in the past year. They're all flexible across skin tones, but “Dawn” provides a pink pearly glow that is best for fair skin, “Sunrise” (the original shade, which I'm wearing below) provides a champagne glow for light to medium complexions. Meanwhile, “Golden Hour” has bronzy pearl that looks beautiful on medium and tan skin tones and "Sunset” provides a deep bronze glow that is perfect for deep complexions.

Is Supergoop! Glowscreen Worth It?
In my opinion, Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 30 is 100% worth it. I find myself reaching for it most days, particularly when I don't fancy a full face of makeup but still want a bit of skin blurring and glow—ideal for when I'm running errands, heading to a workout class or going out for a walk. That being said, it works amazingly as a radiance-boosting primer underneath makeup too, helping skin look glowy whilst ensuring your foundation stays put throughout the day. As you can see, it doesn't give (or promise) coverage on its own, so I would need concealer to disguise redness and scarring, but it does impart a soft-focus effect, which blurs out minor blemishes whilst giving the skin a healthy glow.
This might not be the SPF for you if you like a matte finish or have very oily skin, but if you're all for the dewy, radiant look then I would highly recommend it. It doesn't exacerbate my acne or skin sensitivity, and it does have a moisturising quality, which works well for drier skin types too, thanks to the addition of hyaluronic acid. Despite how regularly (and liberally) I apply it, a tube typically lasts me around three months. However, Supegoop! recently launched a large size (the Supergoop! Glowsscreen Jumbo SPF 30, £44) that is almost 74ml (in comparison to the standard 50ml) and works out cheaper for cost-per-wear each day.

If you don't want to invest in a full-sized tube, the 20ml version is a great way to try it first, and it's also ideal for travel.
Pros
- Delivers a radiant, sun-kissed glow under makeup or on bare skin
- Contains skin-loving hyaluronic acid and niacinamide for hydration and smoothing
Cons
- Can appear excessively shiny or metallic, especially if over-applied
- Tint may turn orangey on fair skin and can emphasize texture

For those who seek a light coverage and tint from their sunscreens, the newly-released Protec(tint) Daily Skin Tint will tick all of your boxes. Available in 14 shades offering a sheer but buildable finish, this is perfect for no-makeup days.
Editor review: "I've yet to meet a Supergoop sunscreen I haven't loved," says freelance beauty editor Grace Day. "But the Daily Skin Tint is definitely my favourite of the lot. It adds a very sheer and subtle hint of coverage, just enough to blur imperfections and even out any redness but without feeling heavy or sticky."
Pros
- Lightweight formula
- Good range of shades
Cons
- Only SPF 35
This velvety SPF is totally transparent, leaving zero cast on the skin. It leaves a smooth, matte finish, making it ideal for those with oily skin or if you prefer a velvety finish. It also doubles amazingly as a makeup primer to smooth over pores and fine lines.
Pros
- Totally invisible and primer-like, perfect under makeup
- Clear gel-silicone texture glides smoothly and hydrates without stickiness
- Fragrance-free, non-irritating, no white cast—even on deeper skin tones
Cons
- May feel slightly greasy or cause oil transfer for very oily skin
- Some users report stinging around the eyes
The just-launched stick version of the above formula is ideal for top-ups and on-the-go application.
Editor's review: "I keep this in my handbag for reapplication when I'm out and about," says Day. "It's also ideal for getting coverage on those hard to reach areas like the tops of your ears, scalp, and back of the neck."
Pros
- Easy to apply
- Travel-friendly
Cons
- Only SPF30
- Doesn't reapply well over makeup
SPF needs to be topped up throughout the day to continue to shield from the damaging effects of the sun. Thankfully, Supergoop! has come up with this translucent powder SPF, which makes topping up over makeup so much easier. It's also ideal for taking away shine.
Pros
- Transparent, convenient for reapplication over makeup
Cons
- Only SPF30
If you're searching for an airbrushed effect with a matte finish, meet your match. The Mattescreen formula lends itself well to those with oily or combination skin who want a velvety base whilst shielding their skin from the sun.
Pros
- Provides an airbrushed matte finish suitable for oily/combination skin
Cons
- Only SPF30
This clear SPF stick is so helpful for throwing in your bag for top-ups on your face, neck, shoulders or anywhere else your skin might be exposed. It has a transparent formula that glides onto the skin brilliantly underneath or on top of makeup too. It even doubles up as a glowing, glitter-free highlighter.
Pros
- Clear stick format ideal for on-the-go application
- Doubles as a subtle highlighter
Cons
- Not suitable for those who prefer a matte finish
If you want an ultra-light SPF for your face that will sink in quickly, consider this your new favourite. It has a water-like texture that melts into the skin and dries fast—no faffing around here.
Pros
- Extremely lightweight, watery texture that replaces moisturiser for many users
- Niacinamide-rich formula with blue-light & pollution protection
Cons
- May feel too light for very dry skin types
This creamy gel formula sinks in fast, making it great for both the face and the body when you need to be out the door fast. Like all of the Supergoop! formulas, there's zero white cast.
Pros
- Creamy gel formula sinks in quickly for both face and body
- Sweat resistant
Cons
- High price point for packaging size if used on body
