28 Pretty Summer Tops I'm Eyeing From Nordstrom, Shopbop, and H&M
A look at my calendar confirms it: Summer is inching nearer. But while the prospect of having a "normal" summer is still very up in the air, this is for certain: The temperatures will still rise, the sun will still shine, and my wardrobe will still crave all the dainty warm-weather pieces it's used to seeing this time of year. So even if I'm relegated to showing off my summer wardrobe in the privacy of my back patio or to an unwitting pedestrian looking up at my fire escape, then so be it because the new-arrivals sections at a few of my go-to sites are inundated with the prettiest summer tops, and honestly, just scrolling through them is an uplifting activity I recommend.
The top styles I'm eyeing right now also happen to hit on some of the biggest trends—shocker—and include all the puffy sleeves, a few asymmetrical necklines that nod to the '90s, and, of course, a few fun tie-dye pieces. Pretty soon, summer will feel real, and I wouldn't be surprised if many of these tops were the first to sell out (yeah, I have good taste—I said it), so now is the time to snatch them up before they do. Just saying!
Want to find out which pretty tops I have my eye on (and a few I might have already ordered)? Here, shop the styles I love from the retailers that always come through, namely Nordstrom, Shopbop, and H&M.
Shopbop
Yep, here's the top featured in the opening image and arguably the number one pick I'd buy from this whole edit.
The delicate straps really elevate this simple tank into something special.
I've tried on this tank in person before, and I kind of regret not buying it when I did.
Wow, okay, Ganni. You really outdid yourself with this one. I know plenty of fashion girls who will adding this cool tank to their summer wardrobes.
Between the voluminous sleeves, square neckline, and lovely corset-style boning, this beautiful top has a lot going for it.
Didn't you hear? Halter tops are happening again. This one is a pretty in-between option if you're not fully ready to commit to the throwback look.
I'm not even sorry for adding in another Reformation top because this one is just too sweet to pass up.
Nordstrom
I purged many off-the-shoulder tops from my closet recently, but seeing this fresh version has me rethinking them.
Maybe not the most practical pick, but definitely the coolest.
H&M
May or may not have bought this to channel Dua Lipa at the 2020 Grammys. Don't tell her.
I wouldn't think to buy myself a top like this, but I'm somehow always wishing I owned one.
Next up, 25 basics that are so good, Nordstrom can barely keep them in stock.
